For some of them, it’s the losing face fat that comes with age (sadly.eating cake does not cure that problem, ask me how I know) plus those women all do weight training (which is recommended as you age but leads to that stringy arm look instead of the soft thin look they had as 20-somethings). Yeah. Some of them are microdosing GLp1 but for others this is what happens to thin women as you age, if you eat the recommended Mediterranean diet, exercise the recommended amount (like 30-60 minutes of cardio a day) and lift weights. Most of us don’t look llle the because we eat spaghetti and brownies and work at a desk job all day then watch Tv on th couch instead of working out. |
I do stress eat but I ate so much more in my 20s. Like tonight we had spaghetti and meatballs and I only had half a plate of pasta and two meatballs and no dessert. In my 20s I would have had half dozen meatballs, two full plates of pasta, a glass of whole milk and then a large dessert. And weighed 110. God. I wish I had appreciated it more. I ate bread every single day! Like for every meal! Multiple oiecss of delicious white bread every meal, with ice cream and cake pretty much every day. Sorry, you triggered me with the suggestion that I eat more now. |
DP. I agree with the PP. It does look cheap. You can just let it go without having to go into in-depth explanations of why you disagree. |
Totally disagree. She has the perfect figure.

+1 Nicole Kidman is another who has always, always been tall and very thin and probably will be for the rest of her life. Some people just can't stand it, I guess. |
OMG. |
I think my favorite look of the evening was Zendaya. She is magnificent and always knows exactly how to carry herself.

My top 3 were this, Rose Byrne, and Wunmi Mosaic's green sequined dress. I also liked both Jessie Buckley's pink and red dress and Amy Madigan's feather jacket -- I like when the winner's clothes really suit them in a very specific way. Both of those will be memorable wins for me in part because of the clothes they were wearing. |
| ^Mosaku not Mosaic. Autocorrect! |

Not sure if anyone has noted this yet, but Buckley's Chanel dress was inspired by the dress Grace Kelly wore to the Oscars 70 years ago. You can read a bit more about it here: https://www.vanityfair.com/style/story/jessie-buckley-chanel-grace-kelly
I thought it suited her really well and worked especially well with her current haircut and color.

I wonder what the 10 year effects will be of these women have have dropped weight they didn’t have to lose in their 40s, 50s, 60s and are now waif like. I wonder if it affects bone density?
Models used to do the ultra skinny heroine look but that is when they were in their teens and twenties. I wonder what the health risks are of these women of dropping to the skeletal look later in life. This was not the intended purpose of these drugs and I doubt they have really even been studied in women later in life who were already thin before they started then and lost weight. |
I bet Nicole Kidman weighs 30 pounds less now than she did when she was a normal thin woman in her 30s. |
I really liked this dress too. The color combo is so surprising but it suited her perfectly. |
DP I would be delighted to look half as unattractive as Zandaya - her beauty is natural and transcendent |
Haha seriously. It’s not my favorite color dress but the fit and drape are lovely on her and she’s beautiful in almost anything. |
