VDA is ECNL so no restrictions. For GA need card released. However you can do some training with other clubs

Seriously, where is the VRSC #Onefamily guy and the guy rubbing Champions Cup in everyone’s face? They’ve been very quiet since Monday. The win and tie results were from the youngest age groups. Do you think those players will want to stick around, I don’t.

Just enjoy other chiming on how the OneFamily is spiraling down on that gamble buying out Chris and his crew from FCV and making promises to young girls and their paying parents for such a god awful showing in these tournament which presence didn’t earn and were put in automatically. At least their drunkard parents are able to maintain the influence in check - have you seen them with coolers in early am games during the fall? It ain’t coffee what they’re drinking

Those parents sound like my kind of people.

The tournament was a disaster for the former FCV coaches. Really bad coaching all around. Most of the younger teams see that this club is a dead end and will be looking for better opportunities as a result. There will be the same kick ball players who ED loves and play the entire game will stick around making this club further into the hole. OneBigFailure.

+1. FCV rarely developed young talent but, as a top program in the DMV, they were able to poach talent in the GA years. Poaching talent in the GA years is not an option for Rev, there are too many higher quality teams in the area. So, they need to develop young talent, but Rev has no idea how to do that.

As a VRSC parent, I can say that they are not perfect but no club is. You will find good and bad reviews on any club in the area. I was not a fan when the FCV crew came over. It changed the club for the worse. The club WAS focused on player development but no longer. They are like every club promising development and pathways but will always place an external player on a higher team because it means a new revenue source. Its all a business and it's why US soccer will always trail international soccer.

Will we leave, no. Why, because the devil I know is better than the devil I dont know. If my DC's teammates leave, then that could change if we stay.

It's time to cut our losses and move on. The girls side ga coaches are just bad.

We left before the Fall season ended. Just in our age group we know at least 3 girls going to NVA and VDA respectively

We don’t believe you. League doesn’t allow mid season moves from one GA team to another.

Many clubs get around the rules by calling them "ID events" and those will happen over the winter but the truth of the matter is they are talking to the high level kids as we speak and inviting them to these.

Multiple clubs will know their roster before the official tryouts even begin but may hold one or two places for potential unicorns that magically show up at tryouts.

Why would they? Almost every team has improved vs. last year. The guy literally has multiple Nat’l Championships, USWNT and USYNT players under his belt.

There are three GA coaches, CC, MJ, and JU. ED and JJ are just hanging around the sidelines and have nothing to do with the GA teams' performance this year, although they'll have a role for any future homegrown ulittle talent. CC has a track record that is matched by very few coaches in the DMV, that's just a fact, but things don't seem to be headed in the right direction for his teams. If he and VRSC parted ways, who would replace him? Hard to imagine the club could attract someone with a better track record. MJ used to coach at FCV (he left several years before CC) but he was not a GA coach there, and he coached some very bad VRSC teams before the GA era began. JU did not come to VRSC via FCV, he came through the boys side and this is his first year coaching with CC. What do people think about him? It's easy to complain about the coaches, but turning around a program as weak as VRSC's girls program was never going to happen overnight. Maybe it never will. I heard GD is taking the precious 13s. Not heard a single good thing about him. Also actually look up CCs “accomplishments”. He was kicked out of Spirit after just a few months. His supposed track record is reflective of what we’ve seen over the last two years at rev. All talk, no substance, no development. Just pay to play.

There is no RL in the spring for U15 and older so the “season” is basically over for the teams he coaches.

Speaking of changing teams, when does GA allow tryouts for next year? I believe ECNL can’t start until March 1. Does GA have a defined date?

Mid Feb/March only if you are currently with another club in the same league. (GA -> GA or ECNL -> ECNL). Otherwise the right time is NOW

Where are the girls going to go if they leave the club? The last week showing just screams lack of talent from top to bottom so doubtful there are a ton of options for kids currently in the club. Needs a complete overhaul imo.

Guys stop talking about VRSC like if it is some club. Nobody cares about that club and nobody wants to go there either. Too much noise in DCUM about this club that it became hard to filter these revolution noise in these threads.

Guys stop talking about VRSC like if it is some club. Nobody cares about that club and nobody wants to go there either. Too much noise in DCUM about this club that it became hard to filter these revolution noise in these threads.

Hard to ignore them when they are throwing around their self-perceived exceptionalism in everyone’s faces on these threads and are actively attempting to cover up misdeeds by removing threads.
