| The two illegitimate justices should just step down. |
More than scant evidence. Most people who think abortion should be banned in most/all cases say that religion is their guidance. https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/religious-landscape-study/views-about-abortion/ “Among those who do identify with a religion, the majority view about abortion among members of a particular group often mirrors that group’s official policy on abortion.” https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/01/22/american-religious-groups-vary-widely-in-their-views-of-abortion/ |
| Improchoice and do have an issue with people having abortions later in pregnancy for things other than complications with the fetus or the mother's health. The problem becomes once you start restricting things and adding more hoops for people to jump through, doctors are reluctant to provide the care that people need in a timely manner for being sued or prosecuted. That's not good for the woman, the family, the city state or the United States. We need to trust medical professionals and allow people the autonomy to make those decisions. Looking at the facts third trimester abortions are rarely done for fun. So to argue that we don't want women just to wake up one day and be sick of being pregnant and go get an abortion. That's just not something that the facts support is happening. So I don't understand why we're putting so much weight on that I guess |
The fact of the matter is that people who are having late term abortions are not doing it for sh*ts and grins. These are people who have bought furniture, painted rooms, dreamed of names etc and then are faced with a horrific choice. No one carries a fetus for 6 months and then decides, nah, I don't want it. |
I had to make that decision. Her nursery was Peter Pan-themed. I had to buy her casket while leaking breast milk. Believe me when I say no one has any right to be in that room making those decisions besides me, my husband, and my doctors. |
People say this, but most of them also want exceptions for rape and incest. If you are okay with abortion if the pregnancy resulted from rape or incest, then you don't truly believe it's the same as murdering a 3 day old infant. |
No sane believes abortion is the same as murder. No nonlunatic would punish women who get abortions or doctors who perform them the same as murderers. |
+1000 to both of these posts. This a myth that needs to die. So sorry for your losses. |
Yet this is the political rhetoric driving policy-making. Elected representatives make statements like this and pass legislation consistent with this. The country may be suffering from mass lunacy, but the reality is we (i.e. a sizable number of Americans) are not just accepting but actively supporting this exact viewpoint. |
did the baby do something wrong and go to trail to get aborted? |
DP. If you believe in the sanctity of life, you should be opposed to the willful taking of all life. |
+1 Is life sacred or not? Are some lives less sacred than others? |
Unless the baby is guilty you don't execute |

Let’s look at this with a RWNJ lens.
The uterus is a SCOTUS house. And the fetus is a protestor. |
Exactly, if there's an exception for rape and incest, there might as well be an exception for "we used birth control but it failed". The circumstances of conception shouldn't matter. This is all about punishing people. |
