Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University

Anonymous
This is problem with young men. Not politics. Young men are feeling moved to assassinate and shoot up schools when they take grievances about something or someone. Maybe for attention, send a message, need world wide validation? Social media and sensationalism is part to blame. It isn’t any individuals politics though.

Meet Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson.
A white Christian, Conservative, Republican male with a gun... again.

He was not a conservative. He was a leftist who said he hated Charlie Kirk and everything he stood for.

Raised by republican conservatives. Which is perfect really.

They will never see that they’ve done this to themselves.

This. 💯

When you are so so far right, you approach the left. Both extremes are deranged.
It's looking like he was further right, potentially a Nick Fuentes follower..

Believe it or not but there were people who hated Charlie Kirk for not being conservative enough. And the evidence is heavily suggesting that's who shot him.

So Kirk was taken out by one of his own.

Exactly. This guy was a born-and-raised MAGA. Just like the two white men who tried to shoot Trump in FL and PA. They were MAGAs too. All these assassins are MAGAs.

I called it here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/2370/1291384.page#30770208

According to the bullet scribbling, he was Antifa.

And according to a slew of social media evidence, he was right wing. But you tell yourself whatever need to feel better.

Doesn’t matter what the social media evidence is. People can appear one thing and believe another. The fact that he wrote those slogans on the bullets he loaded to kill Kirk speaks more about his beliefs and intentions.

But you can go ahead and ignore evidence to fit your narrative. Nobody is going to stop you.

His use of the word 'gay' in a derogatory way is limited to right wing.

You don’t think a 22 year old male would use sarcasm and slang, do you? Impossible!

Nope.

So he was engaging with some really nasty right wing stuff on the internet as a teen and his parents apparently did no investigation into what he was copying. Great.

How are you getting that? The Governor of Utah at the press conference said the stuff they had found at the crime scene had anti-fascist writings on it. Those posts are all from 2020 - a lot can happen in 5 years. His family apparently also told investigators he became a lot more “political” recently.

You know that fascism is bad, right?

Can we not even agree on that?

I’m pretty liberal but come on. Charlie Kirk isn’t a “fascist.” He isn’t even a politician!

Fascism is a far-right, ultranationalist, and authoritarian political ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized government, suppression of opposition, militarism, and the subordination of individual interests to the state.

The fact that Fasicsm and Communism, two staunchly opposed ideologies, have the same definition, should hint at how useless this terminology is. “Fascism” means “I don’t know accurate words for what I’m talking about”. See also; “socialism”.

That's not at all the same definition as communism, but tell yourself whatever you have to to convince yourself you're not following a fascist leader.

Ok, define communism. I’ll compare to China and Soviet Union.

Merriam Webster defines it as follows:
1
a
: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed
b
: a theory advocating elimination of private property

No, not a leftist, nope.

Could young people be resorting to violence, because they feel like more legitimate checks and balances in society have fallen away? So they take on some mantle of rescuer, because the institutions that used to enforce our laws/values are so broken?

(Not justifying violence in any way, just wondering if some of these wayward youths tell themselves this??)

That's not the point of the post. The point is to ask whether or not you agree that fascism is bad. Which seems like a valid question to me.

Not PP, but do you believe that marxism, socialism, and communism are bad? Becauase facism is simply a response to those three things. When cultural marxists gain signficant ground in attacking religion, family values cultural history, national identity, etc -- as they have many times in various countries over the past century -- this causes a strong right wing blowback to reassert these things, and you get fascism.

Let's break this down a little.

Religion - like the crusades and scores of other movements where killing is justified under the banner of a god. Right now, Christianity is being used as a cudgel to justify a lot of, ironically, very un-Christian actions on behalf of the administration.

so if "marxists" are opposed to that aspect of religion, personally, I have no issue with it. Sure, there are many wonderful aspects of religion - all religions, but when you get fundamentalists radicalizing people under the banner of their God to justify bad actions like rounding people up based on skin color or practicing a different religion, then the religion has lost the game (and I only use Christianity here of one example - pretty much all religions have their fundamentalist adherents who are guilty of this over the eons)

"cultural history" and "family values" are right wing buzzwords. When the party of "family values" elects a thrice divorces philanderer and conman, you lose the ability to claim the mantel. And "cultural history" - lets be real, that is appropriated as well. Sure, the conquering of the "wild west" or the "wilds of deep dark Africa" or the "mysteries of the Orient" are glorified result of genocide and colonialism in its rankest form.

Understand history and using terms are important in communication.

Except they haven't. They'll bend reality any direction they have to in order to deflect from the rotten nature of their political culture.

The shooter is more complicated and espouses both left and right ideology.

But because he wrote on the casings antifa slogans , Antifa could be designated a terrorist organization. He will be used to target left winged organizations.

The right wing was going after the ghost-like "antifa" since they first heard of / invented it.

The right wing didn’t invent “antifa”

Disinformation. You’re so dense you can’t even spot it when you see it.

Huh? German communists invented it in the 1930s.

Here's a socialist friendly website to show it
