Potomac going 2-1 vs IAC opponents…what’s the story with them? |
Mad respect for number 4 from SJC. Hasn’t played a game this year and was selected in the first wave to play in the ALL America Senior Game. Does he return for this years playoffs? |
They could use a little human massaging to make up for some of the more glaring errors: #2 beat #1, McDonogh, Haverford at 11, no SJC because the 2022 team was so great. |
I believe the rating is based on SOS |
Dunkel up until his shoulder injury has been an elite player, he has demonstrated that for 3 years on Military road. ... wishing him all the best for a speedy recovery. With that being said, he has missed his entire senior campaign YTD (obviously not by choice due to surgery) but received an invitation to New Balance All-American Game. What are the selection criteria based on? |
It is supposed to be the best 44 seniors. He is certainly in that group if he is able to play. I bet by July he will be physically ready to go if he wants to play. Obviously good for the event to have the #1 senior there. |
Think the story is less about them and more about how the bottom of the IAC is not as strong as in years past. |
Worst SSSA team I've seen in 15+ years and had nothing going on offense. Their LSM was their best player and according to parents, had a freshman in at goalie. |
Impact. Kid demonstrated that he is one of the best attackman in the 2024 class the past three years. He also demonstrated this over most recent summer club circuit as well. SJC record reflects his impact. Well deserved. Don’t let jealousy blind you. |
Not sure what is going on with SSSA this spring but they are horrible. |
Little of both IMO. Potomac has good pieces for staying in games. They win face-offs, have an excellent goalie, and don't beat themselves. Potomac, St. James, and maybe even St. Andrews being in the same conversation as half the IAC is pretty shocking, though. |
what is up with the bottom half of the IAC this year?
STA, Episcopal and St. Stephens are WAY DOWN this Spring. Episcopal is likely the best of this group and do expect they canl make a run in the VISSA State playoffs. |
Are any other seniors in the DMV in the running to be selected for the All America game? |
Gonzaga attack (UMD) and GP middie (Hopkins) probably have true best shot. |
Inside Lacrosse has a hand in the selections and they have the SJC middie (MD) at #36 so he is also in the mix. Prep and SJC LSMs are listed as four stars but outside the top 44. That's probably it. |
