These Inside Lacrosse LAX BROs are pretty clueless when it comes to rankings / player stars. One of the best players in the entire area this Spring is Landon's LSM, Davis Owens, headed to Tufts this Fall. While only a D3 program, they can likely blow out half the programs in D1. After watching the Prep - Landon stream last week, if Prep has an LSM headed to Duke or ND, I couldn't even tell you if they played as they had no impact in the game. . Prep's best D-man is headed to Villinova, he was a force on defense. |
What number is the SJC middie going to MD? 16? |
Just stop with the D3 can blow out half the D1 program non sense. So much parody in D1 this year that is not true. Colgate can beat a top ranked team but not Tufts. No disrespect to top D3 schools but some D3 parents just sound desperate to justify why kid did not go D1. Tufts could beat maybe 8-10 D1 programs but zero shot of winning any D1 conference and they are only blowing out one D1 team and that is Hampton. |
I think a handful of D3 teams (Salisbury, Tufts, RPI, RIT) could be competitive (game within 5 goals W or L) with the bottom half of D1 teams and might be favored against the bottom 10 or 15 teams. |
Best player by far in all of D3 last year has a complimentary role on UVA. And I emphasize complimentary role….. |
News flash for McHomer Fanboy… Tufts needs to worry about RIT and Wesleyan before beating half of the D1 programs. The GP LSM going to ND is a stud. Top in area. Don’t disagree the Landon LSM is a good player and most likely had options to play D1. But don’t get carried away… GP offensive offense would have made any D shine. |
Tell that to Hobart who ruled D3 for many years then moved up. It is like the mythical game between 2022 SJC and 2023 GTP it does not matter because it will not happen. Yes a top D3 team may be favored in one game against maybe 10 not 15 teams. Look at the D1 teams there are only about 73. So when you say bottom half that includes really strong teams. The middle of the D1 pack is tight look at UNC and Navy teams that are really close to the top yet also middle of the pack. The PP mentioned blowing out D1 teams and that aint happening. The video that MP made about Liberty beating most D3 schools is just as silly. |
These types of discussions really come down to where would the best student athletes want to play? I would suggest 9 out of 10 if not 10 out of 10 would rather play in the Ivy League get a better education and play Division I lacrosse if they had the choice. Better players by and large means better teams. The BIG and ACC are also very good academically and play at the highest levels. Hard to believe a student athlete would choose a division three school over an option at one of those conferences. |
Landon lsm won't end college in d3. |
Is there a stream for Landon vs SSSAS? |
Bears up 7-0 over the Saints.
Still in the first quarter. Not sure what has happened to SSSA but their program has fallen off big time since last season. |
Someone wrote on Twitter or IG about just how bad schools are with their streams and even little things like updating the rosters. This is a small example but parents notice when schools like SSSA can't even get a stream up and going. They don't want ESPN but they want some level of effort. There are tons of options out there and parents want something to show for their tuition $$$. This goes beyond lacrosse. |
This is embarrassing.
Landon 13 SSSA 1 Halftime |
Comeback happening. 14-3 |
Landon 13-1 at half and pulled all starters. SSSA has really fallen off the rails. |
