Are you a person that just likes to argue for the sake of it. Nobody and I mean nobody has defended what this guy did. I said many times that he sounds creepy and he’s an anomaly. Most entertainers aren’t like the guy arrested, and in my experience, nobody I’ve hired has acted like him. I also said many times I’m glad this guy is going to jail and where he can’t possibly hurt another kid. I wasn’t defending him. My point is not to paint everyone with the same brush. I also said that we’ve heard one story about an entertainer and all of a sudden you think everyone is perverted. I’ve taken my kids to many mall shows, and hired them for bday parties, when they we’re younger and agreed with another parent that said so many parents are present. I didn’t answer your question, about entertainers, because you’re so completely transparent in the fact that the answer to your question isn’t enough for you. You didn’t give one iota about the answer. I’ve recommended many entertainers on this site before and look at the archives if you want recommendations. Are you really that goofy that you don’t believe I can just google 5 names in the area and you’d have your answer? Go onto general discussion today, and ask for entertainer recommendations. I will check in and tell you who I’ve used. Nobody would want their name on here, on the same thread, as a predator like Knick knack, I assume. You didn’t want an answer to your question. You wanted to pick a fight that wasn’t there. Knick knack is a piece of.... Nobody is defending what this guy did. I was defending men, in general that most men are not perps and most entertainers aren’t predators. Don’t hire one. Who cares. In my experience, I’ve had amazing ones and I’ll tell ya who is wonderful, outside this vile back and forth, but on another section. Like the other dad, I’ve been to many shows, and I’ve never seen anyone hug a kid or act inappropriate. If I hear a story about a male teacher, that molests a child, I get as pissed off hearing about it, just like women do. Would I still let my kids have a male teacher? Yes. Most men are not like this Knick knack, but you just like to argue. Whatever. I’m ecstatic he’s going to jail, like I said 20 times. |

Exactly. Also, think people lose sight of how big this country is. We hear stories about things that took place in Chicago, Florida, California. Of course it seems like a lot, but people in England aren't hearing about every little infraction that happens in Hungary, Poland, etc. We are constantly hearing stories of things that are happening on a continent wide scale. |

Men getting paid to hang with young kids is actually a relatively recent phenomenon. I'm all for equal opportunity, but not the opportunity for perverted men to sexually assault my young son or daughter in nursery school, preschool, Sunday school, or any other venue. And yes, always be extremely vigilant with male doctors and dentists. It's shocking how fast a slick pervert can assault a child, and you're in shock that you really saw what you just saw. These people take advantage of your naivety. It's quite alarming when you see it happen. |

A recent phenomenon? Huh? My son’s football coach has been coaching for 33 years. I saw a puppeteer at a fair that looked to be 105 and been making a living for awhile. Male teachers have been doing it for years. Men will always work with kids and hopefully any bad people, no matter what field they are in, get arrested to the fullest extent of the law. |

My statement about men getting paid to be with children, clearly pertains to kindergarten and younger. I know lots of parents who say they won't let their child be in a nursery or kindergarten class with a male teacher. |

How could anyone know this? I agree that there is a pretty good chance that he did act out or would have acted out if given the opportunity. But I can't say with certainty that it was impossible for him to keep his sick inclinations in check. |

I agree. His perversion could of been behind closed doors. It could also be something he recently got into. I think he’s always been creepy, but he may have taken his perversion to new levels indulging in child porn as a new disgusting thing in life. The reason I feel this way is that things are so much more sophisticated than 40 years ago. They have ways to grab these guys immediately, that had he been doing it for years, he would have been arrested by now. They have so much technology to catch pervs, especially people working with kids and high profile. |
