Do you think Trump's tax proposal will pass?

When, when, when ........ if Democrats continue to be out of touch with what most of middle America wants, that day will be a long time coming.

Ok, so when that happens you'll be cool with it,right?

I am sure middle America will be happy to have tax-free private aircraft, the ability to pass $11M on to their kids tax free and lowered taxes on their golf courses. That is what they voted for, right?

Yep, I will ...... I don't believe in litigating elections and, yes, elections have consequences. By the same token, major pieces of legislation have consequences - whether it is this legislation or the passage of ACA. Remember the Democrats were creamed in 2010 in large measure because of the passage of ACA. Republicans will have to pay the piper if Americans decide to vote against them because of this legislation.

Isn't that how a democracy works?

That must really have stung when it was first said, eh?

Not the pp you are addressing ........ though I have said the same thing. For me personally, it did not sting a bit because I think Obama was spot on when he said it after the 2008 election. But it works both ways and that is what liberals don't seem to be able to absorb.

This.

The tax plan isn't for middle America. It isn't for those who are struggling or poor. It isn't for those with expensive medical bills or student loan debt. Rather, it's for the very wealthy...which is the classic Republican approach.

And, it will increase our debt. That's the ironic part since the Republicans consistently rally their moronic followers by throwing rocks at the Dems saying they will increase our debt and must be reined in! The Republicans are liars, yet their followers don't care. Befuddling.

HFS. What your reality resistant brainis gaioing to grasp is that you had to gerrymander, suppress votes, accept dark money and COMMIT TREASON. And you still got fewer votes! Do not proceed with fuckery of the American public as if people liked your hideous policies.

Remember who said "elections have consequences"?

Yes, they do!

GFY. You're not an American if you celebrate this theft from Americans.

Trump made no bones about wanting to cut taxes and he was elected based on that promise and others. Why the anger given that he and the Republicans are doing what they said they would do?

They're not cutting taxes. They're stealing from the upper middle class on down and trying to kill anyone who will need help. It's a disgusting farce.

The GOP and Trump are trying to create an oligarchy system in the US with this tax plan.

A warning to the GOP: you've even lost the Yahoo comment page on the America Theft Tax Plan. I haven't visited the yahoo comment pages for years as they've long been a cesspool of MAGAt thinking, even before that Russian slug materialized in the WH.

Go read them.

"Some of this re-engineering is straight out of the traditional Republican playbook. Corporate taxes, along with those on wealthy Americans, would be slashed on the presumption that when people in penthouses get relief, the benefits flow down to basement tenements." - NYT

The tax bill is emblematic of this Republican philosophy. Anyone with half a brain understands that it doesn't work. What will it take for middle class, working class and low income republicans to understand this?
