Or will he go a full year of accomplishing nothing? |
Yes |
Will not pass. |
Not pass. Between Collins, McCain and the anti-deficit faction, I think it goes nowhere. GOP will be forced to come to table after the New Year, especially if Jones wins the special election in AL. The GOP literally has only one week to get this sewn up. |
Nope. Gov will shut down too. |
Yes. Repubs will have to do their owners' bidding. |
The stock market thinks so. |
There's too many Republicans right now without much to lose. Only a faction of them (Ryan, McConnell, etc) are completely reliant on the donor class. McCain is gonna die and he married into a stupid amount of wealth. He has no donors to please. Collins's independence plays very well in Maine. Corker is going out in a blaze of glory and doesn't want to give DJT a win. Rand Paul is just insane and won't vote to increase the deficit by a trillion dollars....and that's even after gutting the ACA. Not gonna happen. |
I actually think the Senate will pass something and the House will just adopt the Senate bill. What the Senate bill looks like in the end remains to be seen.
It's shit legislation, however. It's almost like the Republicans know they're going to lose in a wave election in November, so they might as well pay off their donors now in the hopes of lucrative private sector jobs in 2019. |
I fear it will pass, but boy I hope not! |
Johnson said he's still a no which will hold it up in committee.... |
Johnson and Coker caved in Committee, so it goes to the Senate floor. It will eventually pass there and the House will adopt the Senate bill.
The GOP gets slaughtered in 2018 unless the Russians help the various house races bigly. |
The stock market thought things were going swimmingly in September 1929. |
Corker says he is now a yes thanks to a “trigger” aka a gimmick. |
Johnson and Coker caving is a bad sign any of the other spineless republicans will stand up. Dammit. |
