So how long can someone like Giuliana Rancic keep going?

How long until Peole magazine puts her on the cover with the headline, "My Very Personal Struggle" and then she can produce her own documentary with a film crew following her around at her inpatient retreat center?

Two months?

I've not read all pages on here, and I'm not very familiar with her, but has her husband made any comments about his wife? I take it he's all supportive, sees nothing wrong?

I think she really will die of this. She's not young, she has clearing been abusing her organs for a good solid decade now, she doesn't seem to think she has an issue, and she works insane hours. I think she is literally weeks away from a heart attack or just not waking up. Its so so so sad. Why isn't E taking her off the air?????? Why isn't her family putting her in treatment?? Why do we let someone this seriously ill walk the red carpet????

Apparently she sort of addressed all the criticism she got about how shocking she looked in that black pantsuit.

"The reason I haven't really responded to all of that is because as soon as you respond — good or bad — it fuels the story," Rancic explained from the Soho House's Club Room in West Hollywood, host of her trunk show and cocktail bash, which also drew her Fashion Police colleague Brad Goreski. "I'm such a confident person, and I know exactly who I am, and I know the truth. As long as I know the truth and my family knows the truth and my friends know the truth, that's all that matters."

While she wouldn't say what that truth is, Rancic added that the seemingly constant focus on her weight has recently caused her to respond in an emotional way, even if on a subconscious level. "I actually feel sorry for people who make mean comments or awful comments about someone's weight or appearance. When I read those comments, I think, 'Wow, this is more about them than me,' " she said. "I'm not saying this as a bullshit answer to get around this question. At this point in my life, I don't have to answer it or justify any of it with an answer."

That said, Rancic will eventually provide more insight into the weight debate. She told Preta that she pulled a near-final version of her upcoming memoir from Crown Archetype to add a section about the weight issue. That book will be out this spring.

So in a nutshell: people aren't legitimately concerned and any concern expressed is mean or awful, her weight is totally normal and healthy, and buy her book where she will fully explain how normal and healthy her relationship with food and weight is.

eonline has a whole section about her primping for the Oscars. Doesn't seem like they're going to take their cash cow off the air.

i was reminded of this thread when i was watching red carpet coverage and my husband walks thru and goes "still not eating eh?"

they should be ashamed of supporting someone who is clearly in trouble but will deny knowing such until something, god forbid, happens to this lady.

exactly! and also who is gonna buy this crap book w/her "stopping the press" on to add a chapter addressing her diet? which will likely be her saying a whole lotta of the same about knowing who she is and the truth

I once had a neighbor who died from Anorexia (around age 43, also an actress) and even she looked heavier than Rancic-she really does need help. Sad that she went through all that trouble to bring a baby into this world and she likely will not be around to parent him if she does not get help! She needs help NOW!

Zendaya's response was a thoughtful one. I'm losing respect for Giuliana by the minute. To say an 18-year-old must smell like weed because of her hairstyle doesn't seem like a good fashion critique. And her apology saying her criticism of the dreadlocks had nothing to do with race? Her non-eating is affecting her thought processes.

then kelly took to twitter saying she's Zendaya's friend. i don't get that response at all.

the only person on that show who could get away w/that kind of vitriol was joan. and that's cause she was funny and didn't give a f*ck.
