The Five school districts with Title IX violations, how much money do they stand to lose?

Biological sex is definable.

Yes, that’s at the crux of this whole thing. Replacing objective fact (biological sex) with subjective identity/feeling (gender identity).

And you would have APS do what - do physical checks of kids' genitalia before allowing a kid to use a particular bathroom?

No. But, if there is a complaint, it should be investigated.

Do you really think that people did not complain about the pervert in Arlington and Fairfax locker rooms?

+1 Is CCPTA opposed to APS policy?

Their goal is to support students with disabilities. This stance disproportionately impacts those students

What stance disproportionately impacts? Support for the policy or opposition to the policy?

CCPTA is about much more than students with disabilities. They represent all students. I think they care a lot about students at Title 1 schools, for instance, and I believe that's a lot of the money at stake here.

Investigate how - with a genitalia check to ensure the person is female enough for you?

the pervert in the Arlington locker room (outside of school hours) was a sex offender, who never should have been near any locker room of either gender. I don't get your take because unlike you I'm not ok with such a person being in the boys room either. The gender of the room he entered wasn't relevant; he should not have been allowed in to either room.

Why are you people so obsessed with imaginary genitalia checks? Sex can be determined bye eyesight 99% of the time. If there is any question, then a cheek swab will suffice.

Go peddle your hysterics somewhere else.

yeah well I have friends who have been hassled by people like you because they don't pass your femininity test. So now you want to swab kids cheeks before they can go into the ladies room if they don't pass your eyesight test? no thanks to the gender police.

No. How about the way it worked for many decades prior to the past 10-20 years?

There are private/family changing rooms at the W-L pool.

The problem there is if there is an adult waiting in the private changing room for a child to enter, it ends very badly with no witnesses.

True, I guess, but the locker rooms are supposed to be closed to the public when students are using them during the school day.

it did recently happen https://wjla.com/news/local/virginia-arlington-county-schools-aps-transgender-bathroom-policy-residents-sex-offender-exposed-himself-richard-cox-washington-liberty-high-locker-room-superintendent-francisco-duran-aquatic-facility

No. PP said an adult waiting in a private changing room during swimming PE. The linked story is about the person entering the GROUP/main locker room after school hours. Still awful, but different from PP’s hypothetical.

They don’t have closed private student bathroooms or locker rooms because of the risk of adults in the school abusing kids. Not just outsiders.

The question was about WL pool locker rooms. Yes, there are individual/private changing rooms at the WL pool, in addition to the men’s & women’s locker rooms. This is an easily provable fact and a strange thing for you to dispute.

So during the elementary swim unit every child can use the private changing rooms? Will the school’s offer this, or will parents have to ask? It would be a time consuming endeavor, but if that is how this is being handled then I guess that protects my child.

Why don't you just talk with your kid's teacher?

What rights do they need? They can wear whatever they want, they can date who they want, they just need to use the bathroom and locker room of their birth gender. That’s it, and it’s private activity so doesn’t change their public identity.

How much is APS losing funding? I heard immersion was going to be defunded entirely?
