Yes! Very!

This is humiliating. Nixon was booed in a South America. Country when he was VP for US policies but no American President or VP has been told they were neither invited or wanted in any country. JD, Usha, and Waltz aren't even saving face!

The optics were going to be embarrassing. It was either going to be protests or totally empty crowds.

In the first visit, Don Jr paid an bunch of poor/homeless men to join him at a restaurant for a photo op.

But they don't want to feed poor Americans.

Apparently they still enjoy freedom of speech.

You should not be bring your kid to a politically charged visit. She actually should not be going either. It’s hostile and inappropriate. Stay home.

She isn't going - catch up.

I mean, it's kind of hard to keep up when the administration is so effing disorganized the plans have changed THREE TIMES since they were first announced. For context, they were announced Sunday night and it is now Wednesday evening.

I love that they thought Usha would be a draw. We don't even want her here in the DC area as evidenced by her and her idiot dh getting booed on date night. Why the f would someone who gets booed in their own town be a draw to Greenlanders.

But what a comedown for US soft power. Not so long ago any second family member would have been welcomed everywhere. Even Mrs Pence!

Mother wasn’t bad. She stayed in her lane and her husband stood up when it really mattered.

Exactly.
Which is why she would have been welcomed. Maybe her politics weren’t your thing, but she had principles.

Greenland would probably have been happy to see Ms Vance if Trump were not saying daily that "we need Greenland, we need to have Greenland". I mean, what? This unitary executive nonsense has really gone to his head.

Unitary = uniting the world under his thumb apparently.

Why didn't Greenland simply deny them entry? Greenland has that right, correct? Greenland didn't invite them. Why should they let invaders in who want to take over Greenland?

Trump would have declared war and invaded.

because it would be more fun and effective to boo them in person.
