What happened to America First? Why isn't she making official visits to American places? So far she's been to Germany, Italy (for the Special Olympics - also brought a kid there, and they had to cancel one day because of "jet lag issues") and now Greenland.

Do they think the Inuit population of Greenland will be more accepting of a brown person? Is that why she's going?

Given the extenuating circumstances, it seems particularly colonial. This is a visit to a military base, not a state visit.

In a statement, the Trump administration said Ms. Vance will visit Greenland with one of her children on Thursday, to visit historical sites and attend a national dog sled race.
