Not really. NVA has the stronger defense, up front is fine, saw some kick and run, but also some technically good soccer, passing, seemed like a more even team. FFX defense was weaker and they seemed really clumped in the middle up top, more uneven in skill (some very strong players, and some that seemed maybe were guessing or playing up?). I was surprised it was that close when I heard the score after. |
No not really, the final score should've been closer to 3-1 or 4-1. Union's goal came on literally the last kick of the game after a NVA miscue in the back, but Union did well to finish off the chance. NVA had more dangerous chances that they didn't capitalize on. |
+1 - NVA needs better finishing and pass connecting up top. |
After this weekend, here’s the updated MA standings: 1. NVA 2. Richmond 3. Union 4. Arlington 5. VDA 6. Beach NVA finished the weekend with a tie and a win. Union finished the weekend with two wins. Arlington finished the weekend with a win and a tie. |
| I guess this thread was started by a NVA parent… |
FR. What are the current standings? |
| these standings are terrible...the question should be ...which team has the best chance to make it to California and actually do something?? |
Thought NVA would be that team but with out a coach...you see the results from this past weekend. |
no coach? who was coaching then? |
Didn’t their new coach coach the games?. Maybe a new formation? They lost 2-0 to FVU and 3-0 to Arlington (Though,, they played without 3 starters including goalie in Arlington game). |
Regardless....the way they played was not normal. Something was very off. Too lose the way they did to who they lost too was not expected. See how they perform in Jeff cup to see if they are really going down or was it a fluke weekend. |
Where were the starters? |
Richmond |
Have to make it through California first... |
They’re saying Richmond is good enough to do something in California. |
