After a few weekends of scrimmages and training, how is everybody looking?
Fairfax Union seems to be stronger than anticipated. NVA will be good. Arlington? VDA? |
Arlington looks great. Union and FXU will be solid and competing for the conference title. VDA will not be to the level of these 3 teams. |
Has Arlington played anybody yet? |
They were undefeated in supery |
lol |
| This is a stronger age group top to bottom for the conference than most. |
Maybe we wait for league games to actually start before making these claims. |

For what? Some of these teams have just been put together. Some haven’t played full field yet. We haven’t even seen the NC teams or southern VA teams yet. Even next week will not be league play. I agree that the 2012’s seem to have more parity than other ages right now but it’s so early. It may turn out to be completely wrong. |
Likely, Richmond will be good to very good and Beach will be not good to good. |
And I imagine there will be 2-3 good to very good NC teams. So basically the same as any other age. |
| My kid is a 2013. The 2012 girls at all the clubs she has interacted with in outside trainings, camps and futsal are a very dedicated and hard working group. (To be fair the kids who do those things are self selecting). |
Courage, CSA, and who else? |

I’ve seen 2012’s training and there isnt a big difference between the numbers of girls that train hard for any given year. Possibly a few more talented girls?
This happens every year with the new u13 families. Their team is extra special because they have won by large margins at u-littles. |
They are actually the kids who missed some of their U8/U9 development years for COVID, so Im curious to watch. Will the impact be greater closer in to DC where fields were closed or did the kids just have to develop on their own |
