In some ways it required kids to have a stronger work ethic by working on their own from the start of their journey. |
| Looking at the rankings app, everybody except for NCFC, Wilmington and VDA partner clubs are in the top 140. No huge outliers. |
| If anything, this age group is the most vanilla with less outliers. |
Braddock Road is top 140? |
For new ecnl parents, no surprise here. These are the 3 lowest clubs in the MA division usually. |
No, but VYS was. And that's where the bulk of their team comes from. |
And VYS had players playing up on the 2011 Brave team last year. |
Is this a flex? That’s pretty common. |
VDA was ranked #25 in the nation the last time the ecnl ranked its clubs (highest of all Virginia clubs), and just sent 4 of its 6 girls teams to champions league playoffs this summer (highest of all VA clubs). But don’t let the facts get in your way…carry on. |
100%. Truly don't understand all the VDA hate on this board. How did VDA hurt you? |
VDA basically did this with 1 coach for all the teams (who has a real job, not even a full time soccer coach) since the director resigned in the beginning of last year. Amazing what you people think these clubs need to be successful. Good players and 1 good coach seems to work. |

Seems like it is too early to predict however I believe that FVU and VDA will compete to be the top clubs coming out of VA. They will still need to deal with Charlotte SA and NC Courage to run the Mid Atlantic. Again, it is way too early to tell and I can be completely incorrect and NVA, Arlington or Richmond may be the front runners coming out of VA to compete for that top Mid Atlantic spot against the North Carolina clubs.
But looking at the Copa tournament this past weekend. Everyone has something to clean up to get ready for league play. |
| My apologies wrong age group. |
Arlington is probably the strongest 2012 in the area. Second is NVA. FVU is an unknown. VDA will be weak. |
I would agree with the Arlington piece. I would say all the other three are unknown |
