Perhaps not, but at this point seeing the quality of their educations, I think it’s hard to argue they have benefited from them. |
Democrats have some very bright, well educated voters. They also have a large subset who aren't. |
MAGAs are a hateful bunch. |
Not nearly as hateful as progressive liberals, though. |
The MAGA extremists and the progressive extremists are all extremely unpleasant and nasty people. There is no sense arguing about who is worse. |
BoThSiDeS! |
I mean, it’s true. There is very little difference between the leftists openly supporting Hamas, including overtly cheering on the sexual torture of Jewish girls, and the very fine people who marched in Charleston. They are all profoundly evil people. |
You can find thousands of posts here stating "I hate Trump". There is no single one saying "I hate Biden". People pity him, feel sorry for him for what he has done to the country and to his own children but no one hates him. I was listening to a lot of Trump's speeches. I can't recall him stating anything about hating liberals. |
This is basically the Cliff Notes version of what Bill Maher has been saying for years. I’ll add another layer - I was in multiple Walmarts in Delaware in the fall (searching for something very specific), and I observed the same thing each time: a smattering of black and white longtime DE locals who were visibly annoyed (at best) or almost confused at the overwhelming numbers of Spanish-speaking newcomers at every turn. All the local churches had flipped to Spanish as well. Imagine living in a small town that has completely shifted in terms of demographics. Hint: it’s far more noticeable in smaller areas than places like the dc metro area. If you don’t think that change will impact votes, then I suspect you’ll get a big wake-up call in November. FTR, I’m a Dem who will never vote R no matter what…but I see the writing on the wall. |
When I was doing something the other day, I ran across an anecdote. I took that anecdote and pretended it was representative of the world generally. |
You’re right. Trump is just a stand up guy. That whole mocking a reporter for being mentally disabled- it was just a joke! Obvious /s |
I don't live him. I actually dislike him and think he's a liar and a fraud. But I have no choice but to vote for him. The alternative is unthinkable. |
The same folks are also upset their crab meat cost $50/lb during COVID, lawn services are suddenly out of reach, and restaurant meals cost a fortune. It’s all related. We’ve run out of cheap labor demographically, and that’s a big part of what is driving up costs ( beyond simple profiteering which is also a factor). Some communities have embraced the immigrants as breathing life into dying towns. Yeah, it’s a little hard to be a minority in your home. I imagine the former largely WASP residents of many areas felt the same way when the Irish, the Italians, the Polish, Eastern European Jews, etc. moved in and “took over” 100 years ago. But guess what- they all assimilated eventually and added immensely to the fabric of the country. In case anyone forgot their own family history, it did take a generation or two for that to happen. |
You have no choice, really? Nah, you’re enjoying it. The fraud and the vileness is what you enjoy about him. Just own it- you’re a bad person. You want bad things for other people. There are lots of bad people in America, and you’re one of them. Despite whatever nonsense you tell yourself. (PS- God knows you’re a bad person, too.) |
Centralized government is always tye vehicle for evil leaders. I always vote for a decentralized and weak as possible centralized authority. Government should fear its citizens. |
