Most came from Farmland with some Luxmanor and GP joining. Decked in Lululemon etc.

Maybe this is the case at other MS but interesting this has been talked about before and is already happening again. At 11 years old!!

Their mothers model it for them.

I am curious how you all teach the kids to deal with these other girls. Meaning we can't change other peoples behavior but we can try to encourage our kids not to associate with them?

Not to the degree it is allowed at Tilden.

It's the community. Kids learn from parents.

Exclusive mitzvah sweatshirts. We had many parents supporting this in this thread itself.

Tilden community is toxic. Glad our kids are done with this school.

If you have boys it's tolerable but girls, be very careful.

Nah, we talk to friends in near by schools. Tilden is just at another level.

I have a kid at Tilden. They told me Lulu is not a thing there. Lulu is the North Bethesda thing. Tiden is much more "ghetto" (not sure what that means but it's not Lulu).

Exclusive mitzvah sweatshirts is huge in Tilden. We tried to talk to friends but nothing came out of it.

Not accurate whatsoever for this group of 6th grade mean girls. Lots of Lululemon. Also Aviator Nation is a hallmark.

I was a teacher at one of the feeder elementary schools and there are SO MANY awful parents in the Tilden community. Not all! By no means. But the bad ones poison the well.

I wouldn't want my own kids at Tilden or the elementary I taught at because of some of these issues.

Which ES? And can you elaborate? I'm in this cluster and genuinely curious.

I think Tilden community has too many those parents to make school toxic. You get those types in all schools, but Tilden has a much larger number of those type of parents.

Just avoid this school if you can.
