I could see this happening at an entry grade next year based on the toxic families who are alums and applying. We may no longer apply there. I don’t want to see their toxic, political, and unsportsmanlike misbehavior any more. Not worth it. The last few months have been really eye opening to witness- their toxic emails, their toxic children, their bullying of others. And the silence of the rest is deafening as well. No school environment is worth that. |
It’s not difficult to explain. Between the bully parents and kids they drive the culture and community into the negative. Your kids may not notice it now but they will eventually. And normalizing their two-facedness is wrong as well. |
NP: Just chiming in that we have found some of the absolute worst parents are those who attended the Big 3 our children now go to. The entitled, better-than-thou, judgmental nature of some of them makes me sometimes regret our choice of school. Instead, we just avoid those jerks and hope our kids don't make friends with their kids (who are just like their parents). |
2000x that for the girls-only alums and offspring. |
| The desperate, insecure parents are the worst. Always trying to pull strings in the background with the school and coaches. |
If your kid isn’t noticing yet that’s good. If the mean parents start influencing a ton of things negatively behind others backs (like selecting their kid for everything/ no transparency), that’s when to report it and get ready to leave. Life’s too short. |
Hilarious and so true, even in the high school age bracket |
