+1 million Youngkin. Nutter on this thread. It's loud and clear. |
Nothing in my list, other than illegally parking in a handicapped spot, is against any "rule" or "mandate" either. It is simply a courtesy that people do in polite society. When we reach ENDEMIC numbers I'm cool with whatever, but we are not there yet. The point is you are not being a considerate person if the only way you will do the smart or proper thing is only if there is a mandate to do so. Considerate people will continue to mask up while we still have high numbers because they are thinking of other people above their own temporary convenience. Good/considerate people do the right or good thing without being compelled to do so. There is no rule that you can't leave your car parked in front of gas pump while you go in and order your coffee or whatever either, even if the pumps are all taken, but good and considerate people do that all the time. There is no rule that requires you to flush a friggin toilet either but lots of good and considerate people seem to not flush them. There is no rule that requires you to return the shopping cart and yet good and considerate people leave them rolling around banging into peoples cars all the time. They'll return it for a quarter though. Why should we expect good and considerate people to wear masks for 30 minutes either? |
It’s also loud and clear to me that you guys are heavily invested in believing this absurdity, no matter how patently false the assumption is across the many types of people who reject your evangelically moralistic view. It’s fundamental to your own feelings of needing to be seen as superior to others. Lots of weird psychology on display here. And I guarantee it’s not just limited to the way you view Covid. |
It’s kind of weird how super invested you are in this fantasy about people you’ve never met. |
+1. Weird but also expected. They need everyone else to be wrong so they can make that grab for moral superiority that they obviously can’t get any other way. |
I don’t know that this is the victory you think it is. If passed this won’t go into effect until July so schools will be able to require masking through the end of this school year if they so choose. Most people have expected mask mandates to be gone for next year anyway, so this is a pretty empty “win.” And if we are still meaningfully dealing with covid next school year, the trade off under this bill for banning mask mandates is that schools can go fully virtual for up to two weeks if there is a surge. Hope your kids like virtual learning! |
Can't be bothered to put on a mask during a deadly pandemic. And will desperately try to rationalize being a selfish prick. Got it. |
If masks and vax work what do you care what others do? Do what you want an move on. |
Oh look, yet another person who hadn’t made the slightest effort to educate themselves about how masks and vaccines work before spouting off. |
Because we are part of a community and are obligated by our social contract to help that community. If you can't do very small, easy things then you shouldn't be in our community. (Or maybe you're just an outside agitator.) We are still on the tail end of a global pandemic. Recently, we had a surge and we didn't all need to get omicron at once. ![]() |
Amazing you twits don't understand you're talking to different people. Pssst: that's what "DP" means. |
![]() The importance you're ascribing to a mask is really something. I can't even believe this thread is still around. The mask was not required. He chose not to wear one. End of story. And the more DBs like you keep raging about it, the more encouraged I am to stop wearing my mask. You actually make the choice super easy, so thanks! DP |
DP. Oh, absolutely. The posters who are frothing at the mouth about wearing a stupid mask in an area that does not require them, have definitely shown their true colors. What a nasty lot. |
NP... There's nothing wrong with shopping at Aldi. They are a good bargain grocery store. But what doesn't make sense is going to two different Aldi's on the same day. The driving around negates the whole "bargain" aspect of it. |
