Different units at State have wildly different cultures.

Let me tell you - State Department is just as toxic as Usaid OIG. All the posts about Usaid OIG here I've literally seen at happen at State--including management banging subordinates!

Yep someone mentioned OBO, which is toxic beyond belief. Heard that INL and CA are both in bad shape. OPE is also struggling with morale and re-org issues under a newish leader who had no knowledge of the agency before taking the reins. State OIG…no idea.

Lol. I see that every post about toxic, entitled State FSOs posted this morning was just deleted, which may explain a lot about the toxic work at State and the reach of entitled FSOs.

The one I left after they violated my constitutional rights and left me with no legal recourse. I’ve never been so happy to have gotten out of that hellhole.

Isn't Rich Cordray currently running it? I worked with him to help launch CFPB many years ago. I thought he was actually relatively good at organizational management, compared to most at least.

They are allowing 100% telework so that is appealing to many.

Many agencies are. I was curious what the poster above meant when they said that office is a mess.

My agency is going to bring us back to pre pandemic levels. I’m quitting.

Yea, that was expected.

I can't believe the time has come. I'm finally getting out of USAID OIG. I've been applying for 8 months now. I got my tentative offer today. I'll wait until I get the final offer to let management know. I'm so damn happy. This place is truly hell on earth.

For those seeking employment here, don't be fooled by the international travel and OIG mission. There is no integrity or accountability here. And this OIG does nothing efficiently. Only come here if you want to get away with murder. leadership will let you!

I've worked in a lot of different industries, for big and small companies. The only time I've ever been sexually harassed in the workplace was at State when I was a summer intern.

Ew, sorry, but not a surprise. Overseas, the opportunities to harass LES with impunity instead of American staff are legion. No wonder men never seem to leave the FS
