I think we might work at the same agency. You're not alone in your frustration.

Hey, we might!! So much for educations, job appropriate skills, good work ethic, jobs completed on time and such..

LOL +100

Maybe you are a perfectionist with a sense of urgency.

imagine how that feels! I'm sure you an easily get a job anywhere in the world without an organization having to make you the flavor of the month or year!

Awww, yes. Let's have a little revenge fun now on folks who did nothing to you. Name of the game in my agency. Toxic and much worse.

Oh DS is full of a bunch of self important pricks. That's said, I know the nicest guy that just joined. No idea how long he'll last. He hates DS agents too but doing it for his wife.

What are FS, CS, CA, DS, and OBO?

If you can get out, GET OUT!

If you need a job look elsewhere. It's not just the Senior Staff that are out to get the employees others are being allowed to take action.

This is the part that gets to me, the mid level and senior staff can't find their way out of a paper bag. The staff that have been holding that office together for many, many years are the staff with targets on their backs. They have lower level supervisors doing their dirty work. Lowering AEFs is the first step, looking at the most petty reasons to target older employees.

Supervisors that haven't stepped into the office in 2 years but want to have a fit on staff members that have had to report throughout a pandemic.

Little people that have no control in their personal lives who abuse the control they have been given, note given, NOT EARNED.

All I can say is they are too stupid to learn. So many have already seen Karma bite them in the ass. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny. That OIG isn't just toxic, and smoldering, it's been set on fire and the flames are reaching the rafters.

I swear I feel like there is a deliberate plan on the part of the Seniors to destroy that OIG. They have done an excellent job of doing just that.

That person had been AWOL, didn't do their job, and was getting GS-14 pay. His boss did everything he could to keep that guy on and the guy just wouldn't take the chances given to him. Check your facts before you spread lies.

He's only retiring because he was told to do his job, refused to do it, and now he's retiring instead of being fired. It was not a planned retirement. He would have taken his salary for doing nothing for years. If you defend that, you're a problem.

That's a lie, his papers had been in and the date was already set months in advance. That supervisor was shocked to find out that his papers for retirement were already submitted. Anyone in OIG can answer this question and only one name will come out. Who in OIG can fix you computer and you don't have an issue afterward, Who shows up at people homes to install those computers, printers and scanners? Who did everyone call and specifically ask for when things went wrong? 40 years in the government and suddenly they have an issue with him? Begs to ask the question, why?

He wasn't AWOL he was working in the building and didn't return a call fast enough according to a person that hadn't stepped foot in that building in months. Never went to someone's private home not once. Did none of the day to day grunt work necessary to keep that place running. That's part of the problem, you have those that set on their bums doing nothing but giving orders, not knowing what's going on because they are no where to be found. The grunt work has to be done by someone. Not everyone can sit on their ass, hands folded while doing nothing but watching the clock to see how long someone else went to the rest room. Yes, that's what goes on in that place. Those bosses spend more time in meetings and running their mouths than they do actually spend doing any work.

Those same bosses stood around bragging about the team spending day and night, working around the clock on the weekend getting everyone ready for Tele-work when the pandemic hit. I told one of them since tele-work had been around since 2012 I would be to ashamed of myself to admit that my agency was so back ass ward that we weren't tele-work prepared.

That same person got in trouble because every one did not have cameras, he didn't defend himself but I know for a fact that he was one of the ones that told the head of the division at the time that they needed updated lap tops with built in cameras, or that they needed cameras years ago. I also know that the 2nd in charge left because of the way that office was run and the fact that they were so far behind the times and refused to come into the 21st Century. You can lie, and try to sugar coat the BS all you like but at the end of the day I guarantee you that the one person that the vast majority of the OIG could depend on to keep that old out dated equipment running was him. The one person that never fixed a computer in that place is the one person that was never in there so had no clue what so ever what was being done or the work that was needed to be done. Most good leaders don't just stand in the balcony, they roll up their sleeves and get the work done, they don't have time to answer phone calls or sit around telling you their every move they are to busy DOING THE WORK, NOT TALKING ABOUT IT.

I thought you could just sit there until the day you retire….at least that what the staff in M does.

to be a civilian in the Air Force is truly terrible.

I am at USAID - career employee - and can confirm: it is terrible. In the latest pulse survey we received the 2nd worst scores in the federal government for workload and employee engagement.

I think that the overused word "toxic" has become toxic to the English language.

What's even worse is to be an Air Force civilian who works in a joint environment and has an Army supervisor.
