No, the GA seems hell bent on getting a bigger volume of clubs than ECNL. I think you are at least 1-2 years from any movement between GA & Aspire. Clubs might get put on notice this year due to poor performance. But, how do you justify relegating a current club, while bringing in clubs ranked int he 1000s? Have to get everyone IN first, then allow them to battle it out |
I don't think so. They'll just never play a top team outside of their own league because they'll never make it to Finals or Champions Cup. |
| What are they going to do with clubs they let into GA-A that are from clubs that have not gotten into GA yet, but will put all their 1st teams in GA-A against possible 2nd and 3rd team? Those 1st team clubs will likely dominate - if they don't move up, then it could get ugly. |
Welcome to the land of broken promises that is youth soccer. Go check out the GAs history of promises and everything broken in relation to the failed "GA Rising". Speak to anyone in those clubs impacted and you will find the track record of this commissioner in the league. |
For the non Socal people the reason Rangers, TFA, Tudela, FRAM getting GA is interesting is because these are the ones that are developing the younger players that Slammers, Blues, etc recruit talent from. What this will do is force Slammers Blues etc to either buy out or partner with smaller clubs. Or they'll need to create new feeder clubs on their own. Either way it will force clubs to develop more younger players and be nicer to them when they're olders. This is completely doable there's so many female players that quit because of all the club nonsense. |
since it is not about the quality of play, I cant see them doing thing. Plus something like this is basically a death sentence to a club. Could you imagine what would happen to all of the badge chasers at a club if they lost their badge?!?!? |
Pretty sire this will happen |
| Almost boom time again! |
yawnnnn |
| Michigan Tigers. |
| wait, I thought the GA hats told us ECNL teams were begging to switch to GA |
This further shakes up SE MI and offers players and families more choices to a large platform. Historically, the better Tigers players tended to eventually go to Wolves/Hawks OR Jags. (Club already recently announced its tops boys teams to the new MLSN league). P.S. for DC -- This club -- which has grown its girls side tremendously the last few years -- also was where Chloe Ricketts won a USYS natty with one of their boys teams. |
| Space Coast United to GA |
| BOOM |
