2030 Girls Lacrosse

I don't thinks it's politics, I bet it's access. KJ is an evaluator and I would be willing to bet when coaches, who are picking the teams are unsure, she is adamant they should pick this kid. Her goal is to get as many Stars/SSSAS on Cap because it's the best option so I'm sure she advocates for that.

But I've also talked with her after the fact where she has lamented that a coach has ignored her and picked someone else that she didn't agree with.

Guess what? Capital sometimes screws up and picks the wrong kid. They try and fix it in year 2. By the way, that's better than M&D or Heroes that barely ever makes a change after 4th grade (yes I know, they have done it before but one time every couple of years doesn't count). It's not personal, it's not sinister, it's not because the kid was from the wrong program or is going to the wrong school.

Believe it or not, they think they have picked the best teams possible and want to win.

Agreed, it’s nothing sinister, but it can still be political. They can’t take all the girls from one club, so they have to spread selections around as fairly as possible to maintain good relationships with the local clubs.

The suggestion that M&D and Heros don’t make many changes after 4th grade is wild. I have a HS aged daughter and those teams now are probably only 1/3 - 1/2 same players they had in 4th grade.

Agreed. They recruit through back channels and cut players for sure.

Thank you for clarifying coach!

Just a guy on a train who has had a few go through it and come our the other side. It's not fact, just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth, an anonymous post by someone who claims they've been there.

They do the same thing with American Select selections.

Now that BLC bought Capital, how much say do you think Bresslin will have on the new 2030 team? All parents were told they couldn't watch the evaluation clinics but he was the only parent who was there/allowed to watch and be involved. Wonder if he'll coach Capital Blue too?

Have they had tryouts yet. I doubt he will be around for the actual tryouts. But it’s all political in some way. Capital tries to market itself as a clean tryout but it’s not and they are looking for the best team possible.

BLC did not buy Capital.

BLC formed a “partnership” with Capital to create some fake academy. Expect the Capital team to just be the BLC team. They will still lose to all the top Baltimore clubs but will be somehow even more arrogant while doing so.
