DS is 9. Just wondering. |
My DS asked to do it at around age 10. I think he should really make the call. |
Is this a developmental requirement? |
When he wants to switch. He is the one who has to wear them and be comfortable. |
We strayed with boxers-- boxer briefs I guess. |
What a weird question. I would let the kid pick out his own underwear at 9. |
My son has had a preference for boxer briefs since he was 4. |
My child always preferred boxer briefs since he was potty trained. |
I used to buy briefs and sometimes boxer briefs. Around age 5 or 6, my son said he liked the boxer briefs. By age 7 or 8, he said he only wanted boxers so that's what I got. |
Mine has preferred boxer briefs since he was about 4. |
Mine went from diapers to boxer briefs |
Why do you need to start with briefs and then switch to boxers? |
I don't think the OP is saying that you have to. But, she has a nine year-old who wears briefs, so she is in the position to think about transitioning her son from one to the other. I would just buy a package of boxers and tell him that you thought he might like to try a different kind of underwear, but if he doesn't like it he can stick with the briefs. Leave it up to him once he has tried both ways. |
I've always had him in boxer briefs. He wouldn't recognize tightie white-ys as underpants. |
Boxer briefs from four. |
