Also I have spent the last 2 days all over twitter, reading everything possible, and making donations to multiple candidates for midterms who are not in my state.

I can't sit by and let this go anymore. Done!!!

This whole situation is not okay. NOT OKAY.

Fully agree with you. It's madness.

I called my son and warned him to be careful spending time with women who could turn out to be unstable.
I cannot imagine having a false allegation thrown at him.

One of the small ‘s’ sad things that happens every time there is a public accusation of sexual assault is that we have to listen to women who have so fully internalized the misogyny they were taught at the knee that their instinct is to blame the women. It’s just sad.

Yeah. Or you could just tell your son to be polite, respectful, always ask for consent, and never approach a woman who is intoxicated except to help.

Sure ...to help...no f’ing way. Your son should run the other way! That could go wrong in so many ways. Women would never help him but he is expected to rescue her...lol. Not in today’s world.

You sure do take a dim view of human nature.

After seeing that a woman can make an uncorroborated accusation after 35 years with no recall of where and when and still have the consequences we've seen these last weeks, then it seems that men AND women will need to be especially careful in any kind of partying situation that involves alcohol.

Quit with the "uncorroborated" crap.

No one can corroborate an event that has no place and date.

A) that's not true, you can know something happened even if you don't know exactly when and where. Birthers dispute when and where Obama was born but they don't dispute that he was born.

B) There is corroborating evidence that Ford didn't make up her claims just for the Kavanaugh nomination. A full investigation is called for -- something the Republicans are resisting.

I believe all of the accusers. I don't think the accusers have presented enough evidence to persuade people who like Kavanaugh and think Democrats are trying to do him in.

I think that, if this were about Republican allegations against a Democrat, I'd want to see documents concerning what Kavanaugh did after he turned 18, that were made before he began working for Starr. After he was an adult and before he became an obvious target for Democrats to hate.

On the other hand, Feinstein found a document showing he leaked grand jury-related to a reporter while working for Starr. (I know people discussed that here earlier, but it was easier to find the version here: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/feinstein-alleges-kavanaugh-leaked-grand-jury-information-conflicting-with-testimony-2018-09-26)

To me, Feinstein's NARA document seems as if it's less lurid but more persuasive than the accounts of the parties. Feinstein has government documents showing that Kavanaugh broke the law while an adult.

I agree. So have a full investigation, not some partisan questioning. Do it properly. Subpoena people. Let's get to the bottom of this.

I’ve been saying that since Dr. Ford came forward.

Great. So what could be wrong with that?

Oh yeah, Trump wants to put him through no matter what because he's the only judge who would make him immune to the law.

Ugh, people are totally exaggerating Kav’s views on that.

Honestly, he perjured about the stolen emails and he perjured about Kozinski and Feinstein has new information and thinks he perjured about his behavior during the Ken Starr Debacle on America and he appears to be a mean drunk and is in debt up to his eyeballs to some mystery payoff group and might have a gambling problem.... it’s either that he told Trump that he would get him off or Trump nominated him to spit in Hillary’s eye.

Remember: Devin Nunes told us at the fundraiser that the plan was get the Supreme Court appropriately rigged, fire Rosenstein, end the Mueller investigation (because nothing says “The GOP is innocent” like doing all that).

That and his perjury should have been enough to disqualify him. But Republicans only care about the rule of law when it's useful for oppressing women and minorities.

Sen. Susan Collins, who could determine whether Brett Kavanaugh gets a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court, raised serious concerns at a private meeting about the newest allegations of inappropriate behavior against the nominee -- and questioned why the Senate Judiciary Committee had not subpoenaed a close friend of the federal judge.

Multiple sources familiar with the private Wednesday meeting told CNN that Collins appeared unnerved by the latest allegation, citing in particular that it was a sworn statement sent to the panel, which carries with it the possibility of perjury for lying to Congress.

If Kavanaugh were innocent I think Mark Judge would be the first person he'd want to testify.

I have a mental image of Judge as being such a hapless drunk that he would try to help his buddy out and cover for him, but would end up spilling the beans on several gang rapes and a murder (and, no, cons, I don’t think Kavanaugh murdered anyone, I’m painting a word picture about how I perceive Judge).

Keep up, you moron. Why do you think there are 11th hour allegations? It's because the Republicans elected to try to ram this nomination through - a committee vote on Friday morning less than 24 hours after tomorrow's hearing? No wonder these accusers are coming in now. When else are they supposed to disclose? After the committee vote? Even if he is nominated, the bench is soiled, and this is never going away. The Dems will keep at it until he is destroyed. Where there is one rape and sexual assault, there is usually more, a lot more in a pattern of behavior.

But, you keep your illusion of a spear campaign going if it makes you feel better honey.

Here's a thought: maybe if they actually had credible accusations, they could have disclosed them months, or even YEARS ago! Imagine that! But no, they've decided to come forward with these extremely doubtful claims now, on the eve of the hearing. How bizarre. I can't imagine why.

No one can help you. This has been covered as nauseum and there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Actually, I believe Mark is the alcoholic he is partly because he hasn't rid himself of his past. He feels guilty, according to his once-girlfriend.

The reason he doesn't want to remember, and doesn't want to testify, is that if asked, he knows he WILL spill the beans.

And if both men were innocent, Mark Judge would have no problem doing so, and I’d think would be eager to do so.
I can’t believe more people aren’t fixated on him.

Bob Mueller's FBI investigated him 5 times. For that type of clearance, FBI had to be very thorough and interview his high school and college friends. I thought democrats trust Mueller's FBI.

They had concerns but w pushed him through

His initial clearance to become a judge took something like 2 years and he only got awarded it because Bush really wanted him.

Why did they have concerns?

Probably what you see before you: if not the actual accusations of rape/proximity to rape/attempted rape, the anger and disrespect toward women, the drinking, and I don’t know if you believe the debt was gambling, but that sounds a lot more likely to me that however dozen many baseball tickets he would needed to buy even $60K worth.

There are hints that he horrible to his female clerks but none of them want to commit career suicide.

Oh, please. If you're going to speak as if you're actually an authority on the subject, then at least include links to your assertions. His female law clerks have had nothing but glowing things to say about him. And they were happy to join in a televised press conference in his support.

She also had her polygraph done in MD on Aug. 7. Wondering if she flew or drive. I know she was vacationing on the east coast during this time, according to the letter she gave to Feinstein.

Finally, someone is asking the important questions.

Once a person is caught telling one lie, it throws their entire testimony into question. Why did she say she was afraid to fly? Just an excuse to not have tot testify under oath?

Exactly. Yet she easily flew out here for the pussy march.

She never said she was afraid to fly. People surmised it because she delined to come to DC on Monday.

Yes, she did.

"The GOP has been told that Ford does not want to fly from her California home to Washington, according to the Republican senator, which means she may need to drive across the country. Ford has reportedly told friends she is uncomfortable in confined spaces, indicating a physical difficulty in making the trip by plane."

Huh. How did she travel back and forth to Hawaii? New Zealand? It's almost as if she... flew!

Again, we're talking about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Drunk here. All the colleagues and friends who've only known him sober like him. All the people who've seen him drunk know what he's capable of.

And again, the Supreme Court can do better!

How employable would one of them be if she came forward with something less than full support? Think about it.

I don't know why some are making this into a big deal. Plenty of people are claustrophobic, including two of my cousins. They are otherwise completely sane and intelligent individuals.
