So your approach to this matter would have been different if the nominee had been a black conservative judge?

No, it wouldn't. And I believed Anita Hill, too.

So you would have been calling for the judge’s head? Or would you have carefully weighed the allegations and evidence?

Yes, I would have called for an actual thorough, impartial investigation--not a one week sham job which is what happened here.

In order for there to be a criminal investigation, all Ford needs to do is report the crime to the Montgomery County Police. They have explicitly said they will follow up.

Your accusation is absolutely not true for me. As I've said before multiple times on this thread, I don't think ANYONE (man OR woman) should have their reputation ruined and lives turned upside down with uncorroborated accusations that are decades old and as full of holes as Dr. Ford's.

Come off it. You would never have sat by and let this happen if it was a black man accused of attempted rape of a 15 year old white girl--stop lying! And the allegations are NOT uncorroborated. A thorough investigation of such serious allegations could not possibly have been conducted in one week. It was a sham. You'll obviously never have the decency to admit it, but it was. But hey, you won--that's all that matters to you and your Glorious Leader.

DP. Your injection of race into this discussion is bizarre.

Your refusal to acknowledge that this Kavanaugh debacle is white male patriarchal entitlement on display is bizarre and evasive.

I would certainly hope that all of us would be able to refute allegations with no corroboration. I think dismissing that as "white male patriarchal entitlement" is a shame. If I were accused without foundation, I would fully embrace "white male patriarchal entitlement" in order to refute my accusers claims.

You really don’t know anything since your scenario is not at all what happened.
We have a man accused of heinous crimes by someone who made the accusations with no proof and no corroboration.
Let’s stick to the facts. Forget the “if this... then that” scenarios.

For the millionth time there WAS corroboration. Stick to the facts.

You're right. There was corroboration from the 4 named witnesses that no one beside Ford recalled the party Ford said happened. And from those same 4 witnesses, that no one beside Ford recalled the sexual assault she said happened at that party.

Additionally, in keeping to the facts, no one accused an adult man of attacking a 15 year old. Ford accused a 17 year old high school peer of attacking her.

They were absolutely uncorroborated and no investigation, no matter how long or thorough, would have added a thing too it. In fact, with Ramirez's claim a woman who knew Kavanaugh during that time claimed he was lying about the drinking but that she never saw behavior as described.

But again...why wasn't anything brought forth from the last 30 years?

This. Kavanaugh had never been accused of *anything*. Ever.

With others all it took was one,or two, to speak out and in so many cases that was the sound that set off an avalanche of shared experiences. Cosby, Weinstein and others. So in this case we have two additional from the distant past, none of which was corroborated, and nothing from my aforementioned time frame of 30 years.

Seeing these asinine statements, name calling etc. makes my decision to not be a member of a party, and to eschew partisanship, one I am proud of.

Even if they were it would tell them nothing. His name wouldn't be listed. Her only accusation was accusing him of attending the party. Not sure why she doesn't understand that she's holding him accountable to the same thing she is saying herself. That she was there too.

There hasn't been an updated news report, but I would imagine they are trying to fulfill the FOI request the media filed, yes.

If they find it, it would be corroborating evidence for her that something happened. If it named Kavanaugh, or anything associated with him, then it would be important.

Given how her story has changed, I suspect they find nothing. And that she won't file another police report.
