A) Did Ivanka host it or did Marla? Because Marla is almost 60 at this point.
B) If Ivanka did host it...idk, I'm a millennial and my parents read me a lot of Beatrix Potter as a kid. So it's not weird to me that a millennial would like Beatrix Potter.

It would be really tacky for the expectant mom’s own family to host a baby shower.

Oh who cares. She's a married woman who works in Big Law and whose husband is loaded, it's fine for her mom to host.

1. Tiffany isn't working. In fact, there's no indication she ever passed the bar.
2. Her husband isn't loaded. His family's story about being wealthy was all made up. His father is a small-time truck salesman.

Ivanka hosted, as she made quite clear on her IG https://www.instagram.com/p/DIL5IrGuYoE/?img_index=1

Pp, God bless you for posting this article. In the long history of wonderful, bananas things being posted on this thread, it’s up there. There are just too many amazing quotes for me to post.

The Trumps, it seems, were scammed by small time, delirious scammers. It’s delicious.

In another call, on Wednesday, he said he was referring to his father-in-law’s companies, which he said were collectively worth more than $1 billion, though the company he runs is not.

“I’ve never really gone into any details like that about the value,” he said.

He confirmed that he has no relationship with Boulos Enterprises. Asked why he had never corrected the record, he said that he made a practice of not commenting on his business.

Mr. Boulos has a history of small business ventures. Corporate records in Nigeria tie him to a restaurant, some inactive construction companies and to Tantra Beverages, a now-defunct company that was set up to sell an “erotic drink” that “gives men and women the ultimate stimulating push,” according to its manufacturer.

Mr. Boulos said an associate runs the restaurant, and that he did not recall the drink venture. (After this article was published, Mr. Boulos said he did recall Tantra, and that it was part of an attempt to sell energy drinks that never got off the ground).

The entire article is like this.

Wait it seems like posters on this thread are telling me that Tiffany Trump was scammed by a Nigerian prince.

You all should enjoy Megyn Kelly of all people ripping Kristi Noem for her “25 pounds of hair and 30 pounds of makeup.”

Also why are all her suits a size too small? Surely a cabinet secretary has enough money to buy suits in the correct size.

With that said - shoot me now for thinking this: I kind of like her weirdo slightly western, slightly butch take on suitery. She needs a haircut, she needs a better fit, she needs an iron, she needs to lose that hot pink cargo suit, but this is odd and I sort of like it.

I think the pants size is fine. But I’d size up in the jacket. I can’t believe you asked why her suits are small - the better to show off her chest, obviously.

She doesn't read to me like someone with Noem's pathetic need to show off her boobs on every occasion. With this, looks to me more like she bought these then gained some weight and doesn't want to shop for anything new.

Unpopular opinion but Brooke Rollins is one of the few women in Trump world who are actually smart and accomplished. She has a really strong legal and public policy background. Kristi Noem is not smart. She was in college for four years before she got knocked up and dropped out without a degree...and she was nowhere close to getting one. After four years.

I think Brooke is confident and sure of herself whereas Kristi knows she's just white trash who lucked into all of this. She doesn't have the academic credentials to back her up hence the need to show off her goods.

There’s definitely something to be said for embracing your own bad taste and just wearing whatever hot pink crazy cargo pantsuit you want. It shows a sense of security in yourself and your own identity. Remember hero of the thread, Ivana Trump, RIP, and her comfy IDGAF sweatsuits?

Back when Ivanka was in the White House we all seemed to realize that she had no sense of self, and it was reflected in her clothes. Everything was a costume to reflect what she thought she needed to be for the occasion.

Tbh, I am the rare poster who doesn't mind Ivanka's clothes. She usually has one dumb, unnecessary detail, but she's very pretty and looks well put-together.

She's at her best when she keeps it simple and sticks to silhouettes that work for her, which are the following formulas:
A. Tight sweater and pencil skirt
B. Silk blouse and wide legged pants
C. A-line dress

This is a good look:

Wow in this photo you can really see how many changes she’s made to her face. She still looks like her mom here whereas now she looks just like that bim from Flip or Flop.

It’s because she wears frumpiness like a badge of honor. She’s not like other women!

Yep. She is prettier than other women mentioned here (if you deduct surgery, dye, extensions etc) and can afford all the embellishments they use but she doesn't care that much. That's what's unique about her.

God no, there is nothing unique about Usha Vance. She is an average looking woman with an extremely poor fashion sense, JD is of course a dough boy, what a pairing! Also, she wants the perks of the position but doesn't care all that much to run a comb through her hair, WTF? Stop defending this woman, she is as despicable as her joke of a husband.

DP. I couldn't disagree more. I think she has a great head of hair and good (enough) fashion sense. I've never seen her look awful, the way you and your cabal of mean girls pretend she always does. She looks fine, and in this particular picture, she looks beautiful.

Look, we get that you hate her, but this is a fashion forum. You're clearly not able to separate your irrationally extreme feelings about this woman with what she chooses to wear. Do you generally overreact to such an extent?

😂🤣😂. Is this one of Usha’s friends or something? She dresses badly and is a fascist, it’s not mean to point this out. Well it’s a little mean but maybe this isn’t the thread for you. We just talked about how a pregnant woman’s dress looked like a sexy granny nightie so…

No, I really do believe she has friends who read here. It's weird someone always comes out when we discuss Usha. This person never has a problem with people snarking on Ivanka/Tiffany/Melania - which, as you note, we literally just made fun of Tiffany's baby shower dress and they didn't call us liberal shills then!

DP - who called you liberal shills? No one. The description of a "mean girl cabal" is spot on, however.

Yes, we are called Trendy Aqua, we’re taking over El Salvador, keep up.

Official gang wear - be careful, though, because they throw you on a plane to the Salvadoran Super Max just for wearing it.

Omg this thread has gone up a notch. I love it. I remember her line being sold in Canada.

OMG I complimented a girl at work on her raincoat once and she said "Oh, I thought you would haaaaaate it" and showed me the Ivanka Trump label. Gag.

Babe, no, the New York Times is telling you that Tiffany Trump was scammed by a Nigerian prince.

But honestly I have always thought that Tiffany and her baby-faced billionaire (oops) boyfriend looked kind of sweet and cute so I’m rooting for them. Maybe she knew his parents are weirdos and scammers and didn’t care. Like does she really have room to talk???

It’s always funny to me how conservatives care so much more about optics than, say, human rights violations. Megyn Kelly is clearly a very intelligent woman but seriously WTF is wrong with all of these people?

Also I am not on my laptop and I can’t seem to post this from my phone but the freaking DHS homepage has a glamor shot of Kristen Noem riding a horse very akin to the “Vladimir Putin shirtless riding a horse” photo. It’s like there is a whole autocracy aesthetic now.

Maybe the Make America Hot Again slogan in this article (gift link) explains it all. And it’s not talking about their zeal to accelerate global warming.

In Trump’s Washington, MAGA fashionistas lay claim to
American hotness

I remember reading Tiffany's FIL getting nominated for some sort of advisory position on Middle East? Would that get canceled now?

Why, when this is his chance to become an actual billionaire and not a fake one?

And Marla is already 61.

What does Marla's age have to do with anything?

Absolutely nothing except that the previous poster who was being corrected got literally everything wrong. Tiffany’s not big law, not even a licensed attorney, not married to a billionaire and Marla isn’t almost 60. Marla is an exceptionally attractive woman who has looked great at every age. No disrespect to her.

I listened to the clip and have to hand it to Megyn, at least she acknowledged it: “she looks like I look like right now.”
