The reporter did indeed break the story because the reporter got his hands on the yet-unreleased memoir before anybody else did. |
Two days after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, President Donald Trump's top military adviser, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, single-handedly took top-secret action to limit Trump from potentially ordering a dangerous military strike or launching nuclear weapons, according to "Peril," a new book by legendary journalist Bob Woodward and veteran Washington Post reporter Robert Costa.
Woodward and Costa write that Milley, deeply shaken by the assault, 'was certain that Trump had gone into a serious mental decline in the aftermath of the election, with Trump now all but manic, screaming at officials and constructing his own alternate reality about endless election conspiracies.' Milley worried that Trump could 'go rogue,' the authors write. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/09/14/politics/woodward-book-trump-nuclear/index.html?__twitter_impression=true |

You didn’t read the article, which also says that Trump loyalists at DOD signed a secret memo to withdraw all Afghanistan troops on January 15. That would have been much worse. |
Read the article.
Haspell called it a coup. The details into conversations with Barr and Pence are illuminating. |
Just what we need, a vengeful Trump taking the White House with a personal army. |
Anyone want to try to claim 1/6 wasn't a coordinated coup attempt now?
The only question, will DOJ and US Military JAG (in the case of several officers) do anything about it? |
The only people claiming this are the most partisan Trump loyalists. |
