After they beat Langley in districts, yes. Westfield and then Oakton is not the most difficult path.

Real Madison vs. Langley Review -

Langley came out and dominated the time of possession and took a 3 goal lead to halftime. Madison woke up in the 4th quarter and tied up the game twice (6-6) and (7-7) with 2 minutes left. Langley responded and went up with a minute left (8-7). Madison calls stick check at fails. Langley wins next face off and kills clock/puts in one last goal with 20 seconds left. Final 9-7 and Langley never trailed. Props to Madison for fighting back but the better team won.

That's his go to move! Aka state championship 2018.

Lost a lot of respect for him after last night. The refs actually checked every stick before the game yesterday. The only way a defensive stick would be illegal at that point was if the rain stretched the pocket a little. I guess if you want to win a game that way that’s your prerogative, but it’s a bush league move.

Anyone have a Yorktown Oakton review?

Langley stalled for a good two quarters. Not quality lacrosse.

Yorktown, on the whole, was better as they dominated the circle, but missed some chances that they have been burying lately. Oakton was not impressive offensively as they had no real playmakers. However, despite all that, were right there.

Madison played a zone defense for those two quarters, why would Langley not try to possess the ball?

Madison asked for it by resorting to a zone after they fell behind 4-1. it was a good strategy on Madison's part - the zone D, the locks on 7 and 8, and some great saves by the Madison goalie kept them in the game with a chance to win up to the end. kudos to Langley for being patient and not taking dumb shots like teams usually do when they are frustrated by a zone. well played and coached by both teams, but don't blame Langley for the slow pace.

This also happened for the YT-Mclean game in districts where it didn't broadcast on NFHS. Is it the AD's job to schedule or someone else's?

Think YT has their own YouTube channel. and the world’s most annoying/homer announcer doing unnecessary play-by-play..

Coaches call stick checks in college, typically on fogos. If a stick is illegal, I don’t know why you wouldn’t contest it. Seems stupid to let the other team have a cheating advantage.

It was a desperation ploy because his team was getting outplayed. The stick wasn't illegal and there was no cheating advantage. Langley was just better.
