There are nude (and erotic) photos of a teacher online. Should the school be aware? I'm not for/against either way - just curious of other opinions. The individual is a person that works with every kid in the school, and also coaches ages 10+.

How do you know? About the photos I mean? |
| post a link here! |
| Yes, the school should know. That demonstrates pretty poor judgement on the part of the teacher in general, and could be very confusing or disturbing to children. If you choose to work with children please keep your photos to yourself. I would QUIETLY tell school admin and ask them to speak to teacher. Doesn't do anyone any good if word gets out! |
| One of my middle school English teachers was a playboy centerfold. She never got the two jobs mixed up so it wasn't an issue. |
But how do you know that the teacher posted the photos? And is the OP 100% sure the photos are of said teacher? Could they be photoshopped pranks or photos posted by a malicious person? Furthermore, how did the OP come across the photos? I ask because if the photos were NOT easy to come across for the OP, it's unlikely they would be easy for poor little innocent students who will be traumatized by the sight to come across them either. Frankly, unless they're OUT THERE and super easy to come across, I would advise the OP to mind their damn business. |
And this is the key. I'm always just so annoyed by how some parents think it's their job to run and harrass teachers. If the photos are not easily stumbled over by children, what the hell is the big deal? Photos? Now if you discovered a teacher's porn video with Vivid or a prostitution or drug bust, that's one thing. But a teacher in the state of nudity? Really? |
| Tell the school. Let them handle it. |
| Does this impact her teaching? If so, how? If not, then MYOB. |
|
How do you know this isn't a textbook example of "why you shouldn't let your boyfriend take boudoir photos"?
Nevermind, I don't care. Unless she's disrobing in the classroom, it's none of your business. |
| Stalker, step away from the computer. If you have to ask DCUM, then you live by public opinion. |
| Definitely MYOB. Whatever a teacher does on their own time outside of the school is nobody's business. |
| unless the teacher is a victim, I would seriously question the teacher's judgment at the very least. yes, I would tell the school. you can do whatever you want in your private life, but posting online for the world to see you nude and erotic photos, that's something else. and you work with children? you are an idiot |
| I believe teachers should be held to a higher standard. I work in a profession that requires me to lead a dignified life beyond the workplace. It's not a problem for me. Why is that such an outlandish requirement. If you're teaching children and influencing them, you should have the dignity and intelligence to steer clear of nude and erotic photos on the internet. I have a hard time thinking someone who was this much of a simpleton is suddenly smarter in the classroom. I wouldn't trust such a person around my kids. If the priority here is freedom to flaunt nude photos online, I hope the teacher can find a way to have that pay her bills to. Stay away from education. |
Before the OP puts on airs for her moral superiority, this begs the question of how she came across nude erotic photos in the first place. What was OP doing? What sites was she looking at? What were her search terms that led to these images appearing - out of nowhere? as a total surprise? on her screen? How did you manage to find the nudie pics, if you weren't looking for them to begin with? DCUM may be lame gossip, but the ads that pop up on my screen are for books, not naked pictures. How do you manage to stay on your high horse pointing out the sordid nature of her photos, without acknowledging you were looking for the sort of photos that you found? |
