Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 5

No way will I name them here, but they manage to function, shielded by their judicial secretaries and clerks--clerks especially, as they are beholden to them for a lifetime of references-which is the absolute payoff for working like slave for their judge. Not one of these folks with severe drinking problems should be on the Supreme Court.

And if you don't think that white knuckled, water sloshing, petulant, screaming maniac has a drinking problem, you haven't been around drunks the way I have. My father was exactly that.

OMG, you have issues. Seeing a person react angrily to false accusations does not equate to "petulant, screaming maniac." WTH? I love the way every time you describe his reaction at the hearing, you embellish it further. He was upset and terse. He screamed at no one, nor did he act like a "maniac." What colorful and inaccurate description will you come up with next?

Sorry about your dad, but his alcoholism had absolutely nothing to do with Kavanaugh's human reaction to being wrongfully accused of sexual assault. Get a grip.

THIS. We've established that he drank a lot in high school and college. There have been ZERO reports of any kind related to any negative behavior on his part as an adult and as a judge. None. Nada. Zip. Those posters insisting he's a "drunk" clearly can't distinguish between drinking as a student and maturing into a responsible person with an incredibly responsible position.

It's pathetic that PPs have to resort to smearing him as a "drunk" because they have absolutely nothing else to fall back on.

They should continue doing so because what they have done so far has worked so well for them in the Senate races where races that were even are now decidedly Republican.

Aren't those allegations usually decades old?

Why do you believe the boys and not Dr. Ford who was 15 at the time?

I think the catholic stuff reached a critical mass, so to speak.

+1
In addition, in the cases where boys accused someone decades later, the accused almost always admitted guilt. Pretty open-and-shut case when the accused doesn't deny the crime. Also, many times there are corroborating witnesses.

None of that applies here.

Oh absolutely! All the accused fessed up right away! How can you be this stupid? The analogy applies exactly. You are willing to twist yourself up like a pretzel to say it's otherwise.

They will have as much success as they did with impeaching Trump.

Precisely. When one asinine attempt fails, try try again. So pathetic.

First they wanted to abolish the electoral college. Now they want to pack the court. When you lose the game, change the rules!

*sigh*

And isn't it telling that the prosecutor's office has chosen NOT to bring charges related to any of these cases? Gosh, I wonder why they've decided not to?

It's been 2 weeks. Settle down.

Excellent Bible burn, PP.

And according to his Judiciary Committee questionnaire he just started doing this in 2015 - you know, just in time to get his resume in order

Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Washington (2015 - present)
Volunteer
Catholic Charities is the social ministry outreach of the Archdiocese of Washington. As
a volunteer, I have regularly served meals as part of the St. Maria's Meals program in
Washington, D.C.

So he's been doing this for three years. Good for him. He's also coached his daughters' basketball teams for seven years. What kind of regular volunteering do you do, PP?

Trump didn't care if Ford was telling the truth or not - and he did say he found her credible - he just wanted Kavanaugh confirmed.

Binge drinkers usually have credibility issues. Most people know that alcohol can affect your ability to correctly remember the actual facts.

Spare me your faux sympathy, I don't need it from the likes of you. You Kavanaugh supporters are truly vile.

Trump on 60 Minutes last night:

Journalist Lesley Stahl asked Trump in an interview aired on 60 Minutes Sunday night why he had mocked Ford at a rally a few days after she testified before the Senate that Brett Kavanaugh had attempted to rape her when they were teenagers.

“Do you think you treated her with respect?” Stahl asked.

“I think so, yea, I did,” the president said.

Stahl followed up: “But you seem to be saying that she lied.”

“I’m not going to get into it,” Trump said. “Because we won. It doesn’t matter. We won.”

What a pig he is. "It doesn't matter, we won" He and his supporters are cruel and craven scumbags.
