It won’t be the entire BLC team, but it will be most of them. After that, they’ll pull from the CAP program. About five girls from YJ DMV, one or two from M&D DC and Stars, plus a couple from random teams or a surprise or two. It should be a strong team, likely in the top 10–15 range, good enough for high brackets and plenty of exposure.

BLC is a top 10 team now. If you are taking the core of that team and making it stronger, they can push for top 5. Of course a lot will depend on the caliber of players they can add to that core. Replacing the bottom end with marginal players won't do much.

Rough NGLL for the DMV teams. One team ends in 8th and 3 teams had horrendous springs. Everyone is looking to jump ship because their DD is clearly better than the team she is on. Chaos ensues. This will get a lot worse before it gets better.

YJMA DMV finished 4-4 in 11th place. No wins vs teams with winning records.
M&D DC finished 2-6 in 14th place. No wins vs teams with winning records.
Stars LB finished 2-6 in 16th place. No wins vs teams with winning records.

They looked awful playing Red. Are there any from that team that Capital would actually want?

Is it lack of YJ talent or lack of coaching for that game? The girls seemed decent in talent but their sidelines didn't have their coaches, just what looked like a dad and a teenager looking girl hollering at them.

Not even close. Someone is trying to influence people to not try out for Capital. Don’t believe the FUD people.

Seriously. There are no elite players on BLC or they wouldn’t have gotten beaten so badly by the Baltimore clubs. They will not be ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season and that’s not a big deal. There are great players on other club teams but the BLC crowd refuses to admit that. They do have the largest number of above average players.

This is on the directors. M&D DC and Stars LB never should have been put in the A division. Meanwhile, Pride Loudoun is having a great year in B and could bring home a championship. Congrats to those girls and coaches. Probably a better outcome then getting destroyed every weekend.

More evidence there are good players on teams that don’t start with a B.

Your DD demonstrates exceptional ability and stands out among her teammates. They are fortunate to have her, as she consistently elevates the performance and morale of those around her.

There’s not enough talent to DMV to sustain all these newer clubs.

Used to be BLC, MC Elite and Stars.

Just can’t play with the Hero’s M&D SW or MDU of the world.

M&D DC ended last year ranked #110 and didn't have a strong fall. Agree that they shouldn't have been in the A division.

Stars LB ended last year ranked #40 and went 13-2-3 in the fall. Including wins against fellow A division teams CC Lax (NGLL 5-3), M&D Red (NGLL 5-3), MD United West (NGLL 4-4), and Hero's White (NGLL 2-6). They definitely belong in the A division going off the team's history leading into the NGLL season.

Same thing is happening in the Hoco/Balt/Annapolis area. Just an oversaturation of teams. More incoming youth players, yes, but so many clubs. And why. Cha-ching.

Better to leave a strong rec league and some B clubs for girls who want a small step up.

I guess it all coalesces around 2-3 clubs in the entire area when it gets to middle school. And much younger years are spread out because parents aren’t ready to drive, kids want to play with their school friends/neighbors, and at these ages who really knows who’s gonna be really good and not.

What happened this spring? Stars finished 16th out of 18 teams?

Can someone add on strength of NGLL schedule to these 3 teams?

It is no longer an issue for 2030 players since this was their last season but NGLL really needs to expand to three divisions and limit the top division to 9 teams where every team plays every team.

After that the next two divisions will have more balanced games and it will be better for the players in each division. A change like this should have been implemented last year and definitely this year but I am not sure that 3 Step cares enough to make any changes to offer a league experience that is better (for all).
