Showrunner on the decision, which related to an experience he had in Japan (while the second SATC movie was been trashed) and to wanting to keep the character alive out in the world somewhere. That second part was sweet--Garson is clearly loved and missed. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12419241/And-Just-Like-showrunner-reveals-Willie-Garsons-character-not-killed-actor-died.html |
I burst out laughing at that scene! It is so me! |
| Based on her kids’ ages, the fact that she was able to get pregnant naturally, and the age of the actor who plays her husband (47), I’d guess the show is placing LTW in her mid-40s. |
Whether the character is mid-40s, late 40s, or early 50s, that’s still a very statistically high likelihood that the pregnancy will end in miscarriage. I don’t know why people wanted more abortion-talk storyline out of it. This was a realistic and relatable outcome. |
| Aiden and Carrie break up. Miranda and Carrie move in together, and Miranda ascends again in her career and makes peace with Steve. Brady joins his dad's Coney Island bar. Charlotte and Harry separate with joint custody. Anthony finally finds happiness with his Italian poet. Che dates Trudie. LTW helps her hubby win election. Nya--who cares. Seems like a diff show. |
Great. Now do Season 3. |
Charlotte and Harry won't break up. No way. |
That's how old I assumed she was, too. She looks that age and her family life seems appropriate for that age - also I feel like an unexpected pregnancy just seems more realistic at that age than if she is in her mid-50s like the other characters. I don't care if she's older - and I would pay good money to know her beauty secrets, because she is stunning at whatever age she is. That's just the age that felt like her character's age, without anyone spelling it out. |
Charlotte and Harry would NEVER separate! Get that thought out of your dirty mouth |
| I feel that Harry and Charlotte are being teed up to separate for sure. He cannot handle her new independence. |
No way, never. |
| I hope Aiden breaks Carrie's heart after the way she manipulated him twice. |
She manipulated him once, and he came back for more. She did not cheat on him the second time around. He, understandably, couldn’t get past the hurt and the broken trust. And now he’s back for a third time. She didn’t hog-tie him and throw him in the back of her trunk. He came back to her. Twice. |
No, he’s being “teed up” to accept his new reality by recognizing how much he relied on Wifey/Mommy for so long and realizing that Charlotte now gets her time to be herself. He’s going to step up. He already is. |
Is cheating the threshold for a bad partner? Carrie was incredibly selfish with Aiden. She knew what he wanted in life. She cheated on him, they broke up, and then she pursued him again. She wouldn’t give up her friendship with big. She had panic attacks moving in together and getting engaged. It was the same thing the second time around- she did want a life with Aiden even though she knew there was nothing wrong with him. |
