Agree. Great game by both teams.

What a game from Yorktown and Oakton, genuinely so entertaining

Robinson feels pretty good tonight, with Madison out of the piayoffs.

One thing I think everyone can agree on is that NFHS sucks and the fact that they charge so much for it is ridiculous. It’s the lazy way out for any AD.

The Robinson vs Woodson game was closer than expected. Woodson fought hard and tested the rams.

The game was tied 2-2 at halftime

Robo up 5-3 end of 3rd… then Woodson ran out of gas and put them away in the 4th. 12-4 final

Agree. Langley deserved the win. From face off, to ball security, to timely scoring. But Madison is better than at least 6 of 8 teams that will make States.

Stick check call by Madison was garbage but would expect nothing less. Still, Madison is definitely a top 3 team.

A
Cosby vs Deep Run
B
Battlefield vs Forest Park
Freedom South Riding vs Colgan
C
Robinson vs Woodson
West Potomac vs Alexandria City
D
Oakton vs Yorktown
Madison vs Langley

Forest Park will upset Battlefield. Heard it hear first. Eastern Prince William ain't no joke!

Almost. It was much closer than the 17-0 score.

Madison got desperate late 4th and Coach pulled out his stick check rep on a pole in an effort to erase a goal. Stick found to be legal.

2 amazing rematches for region championships! Predictions for Yorktown Langley and Robo west po?

Not surprising from Solomon, pretty typical move from him he pulled the same thing against Yorktown a few years ago. He pulled out every defensive option from man to zone to locking one man to locking two guys none of it worked. At a certain point one team is better than the other and the Langley offense was better than the Madison defense tonight. Congratulations to the Saxons and it is disappointing that Yorktown will be in states instead of Madison but we have Langley losing to the Patriots to thank for that.

True on all counts. Give credit to both coaching staffs. Langley 7 and 8 are two of the best in the state, and Madison tried everything possible to stop them, but whatever Madison did, Langley coaches had a response. Huge kudos to the Madison goalie for keeping it within reach until the end.

Langley vs Madison - Haven’t met since a preseason scrimmage. Finished the regular season as the DCUM and MadLax #1 and #2 public teams. Madison has knocked Langley out of regionals two of the last three years. Edge to Madison as they seem to win bigger games.

Looks like a Saxon - Warhawk Doubleheader in Vienna on Tuesday with both girls and boys squaring off in what should be two great games.

Someone better tell the Vienna Inn that the Saxons are coming to pillage their town so lock the doors.

Seriously, best post I’ve seen in a while. It left me grinning.

Saxon fans would not dare step into the Vienna Inn
Our boys bested yours- chilli dogs for Saxon moms and dads!

And this is why everyone roots against Langley…can you be any more obnoxiously annoying
Yes- even bigger beat down in Vienna. Saxons took the win from Warhawks like candy from a baby- dangling hope in front of the Warhawks, only to snatch it away for good. Saxon parents enjoyed chili dogs at the Vienna Inn Ex Post!

Madison Warhawks… WHAT HAPPENED? How did you lose to the saxons?!! You guys stink. Haha, see you boys at beach week. Saxon’s must be on a lucky roll with the leprechaun finding gold at the end of the rainbow.
