Come on. This was the perfect all American family. Good looking couple, multiple homes, dad was brilliant, mom was the absolute best. She tried to save her family, running towards the car in the blazing sun, she probably even carried the dog part way (š).
Disregard their heavy debt load, the fact mom did not want kids and hated Mariposa. Did they take HC trail or HC road, could they read maps? How many ounces did their bladder hold? Was the carrier paisley, solid or floral print? Did they swim? Did they drink river water? These are the important things. And I bet LE needs our help. Wonder if they thought to check shoes? Think they inventoried the backpack? Should we email LE? The sheriff knows it was hot I assume? Why didnāt LE put out a public picture of the baby carrier asking if anyone had seen it (dumb post of year award). Canāt wait for my ātried to tell ya, moment.ā |
I haven't seen hard evidence of this but I posted before she seemed like a free spirit who as a pretty young mom for a city girl who had a very fast courtship with a fun adventurer 15 years older who made her a wife in the middle of nowhere with a small, needy baby. I'd put money on this being an unplanned/wanted (by her) pregnancy and some severe depression living in the middle of nowhere. DCUM can skew conservative in some ways where she should be lucky to have a high earner husband and isn't that young but....idk. I don't buy it. |
Is the FBI handling this too? I hope it doesn't take months to solve |
Hi everyone. I too would like to discuss this case. Specifically the bladder, backpack & baby carrier. Was the bladder in the backpack? What color was it, please? Did the baby ride in the backpack or in a baby carrier? If a carrier was it on the front of dad or his back? If his back his did he carry the backpack. Can a backpack be carried in front? If so, why is it a backpack? Did the packs and bladder coordinate with outfits worn for the family outing? Anyone know what color leash used on the dog? If you can answer my questions, please cite your source. Thanks friends and happy sleuthing to all.
Out, did they have maps? Anyone? I truly donāt know why they had to hike. It was very hot. Did you hear how hot it was? |
I also do not see these referenced "red flags" but if you have something, come on and spill it. I don't care if she: took hallucinogens, went to Burning Man, wore crazy outfits, etc. Sounds normal to me, and I have no friends who had a murder-suicide or family annihilation. MS or FA. So stop being all coy. You don't know anything. I know of no profile that fits this situation. If it ends up being MS or FA, show me a similar case. Or are they one of a kind? |
+1 The wackos have taken over this thread. It's not worth reading anymore. |
Agree. OK, we get it, some (many? most?) are over the heat stroke theory. That was my initial best guess, but aside from the whole media frenzy, it seems clear by now that police / FBI are clearly not thinking heat stroke. Not sure why, but they know much more than me, so I give that credit. But if you are going to post wild accusations about the deceased, at least cite your sources (even if we can't find them ourselves, explain why you think this). If it is just your imagination, fine, it is a reasonable theory (i guess), but I've literally seen nothing to support some of these recent portrayals. It seems misogynistic and cruel, because it appears to be baseless. |
What debt load? He was a highly paid engineer. |
NP. It sounds like, though highly paid, he had a bunch of properties where he was potentially overleveraged. Highly paid means nothing if you have significant debts you can't pay. |
Properties which likely were appreciating, unless they were retail properties! |
šššš Yes he was well compensated BUT his publicly documented debt load exceeds the standard debt ratio. Pssssttt, engineers donāt make millions. They also have cost of living expenses including, PMI, mortgages, utilities, upkeep, legal fees, & management fees on real holdings. Hereās an FYI for ya: LE continues to interview locals in Mariposa. All of us know someone in CA, even if not Mariposa. Use your contacts, chances are they know someone in the Mariposa area. You might be enlightened. Off to research⦠Iām looking for HS deaths requiring LE to interview hundreds of peeps. š±š± thus far Iāve found zero. |
For sure he was not Bill Gates. To someone with nothing it looked as if he had everything. |
Any stats on Mariposa heat deaths? |
The thing about these types of cases is that it is usually shocking without major "red flags". The "red flags" come out later. So in my opinion, the fact that we can't think of this exact scenario, with the baby and dog, doesn't really mean much. The general public would have said the same thing about the Hart family. When has there been a FA case with a profile of a lesbian family? Probably never. But then after the fact it emerges that they were child abusers, like so many other cases. Even the Chris Watts case did not 'fit the profile' since usually the murderer also commits suicide at the end. |
I don't think those heat deaths are relevant to Mariposa anyway, because inland California is used to having extreme heat and most people have air conditioning (as opposed to parts of the Pacific Northwest where they never get that kind of heat). Most people in Mariposa would have stayed indoors that day, obviously. So who knows why this family decided to go out to an area with no shade on an extremely hot day. |
