There’s not going to be a ground invasion by US troops. It takes months to move the people and equipment to do that and there’s no indication they’ve even started. There’s also the problem of where they would invade from since none of the countries bordering Iran are likely to allow US troops to launch from there. Any ground operation will be through proxies, likely with a small number of special forces.

They do not care one bit about killing US troops.

It’s not about planning as much as the troops aren’t physically there. You can’t invade Iran if you’re at Ft. Hood.

At some point you lose the entire Iranian population. They've dealt with decades of degradation of life because of sanctions by the US. If they start dying in large numbers because of continued bombings or start starving because of the blockade, the regime may yet win trying to save them.

UAE is not pulling their money from the USA, but the UAE is freezing all of Iran's assets. Iran used the UAE as a conduit for Iran to bypass the sanctions the west put on them.

They’re already using the Kurds.

There’s no need to put our military on the ground in Iran. Plus, it’s not possible at the moment.

And I’ll just say it: Israel bombed the hell out of Gaza…and it worked. Apparently that’s what it took to really deal with the problem. Surely Bibi knows what it will take to deal with the threat Iran presents to Israel, and he’s clearly not afraid to go big.

I have family members in the military. They and/or their colleagues have been quietly deployed to bases in the middle east over the past few months. I'm not claiming to know what this means, but.....

Because we are losing right now and there is no way to declare victory losing billions of dollars in either expenditure of munitions or the loss of equipment throughout the region.
