In many respects, yes. But let's not bury our heads in the sand about the very real economic pressure Americans feel. Something needs to be done about the huge jumps in inflation, gas, utility, and housing prices. A specific, viable plan needs to be offered to address. If the number one concern is the economy, this will be a tough election, even with two vastly unappealing nuts on the other side.

So yes, they care about crime. And the Democrats believe in cleaning up the law enforcement to help ensure more innocent people are not convicted erroneously of crimes and sentenced to prison. Especially since many of the innocent convicts are men of color, this is an important message to send. That they want to clean up the system so that BIPOC can trust LEO more in the future rather than be afraid of them. A good message to convey, unless you are just about jailing minorities because they offend you.

Yeah. What is the alternate story of this going around on RW media? I mean if you happened to be charged with a horrific crime you didn’t commit and you were exonerated and the actual culprit was caught, would you expect society to shun you for all time? Or to hear your story so that wrongful convictions are minimized?
