You were not impressed with the LMVSC training or not impressed with the St. James facility ? |
Not the PP, but having been there for the same training, I would guess they mean unimpressed with the quality, intensity, and format of the training sessions conducted by the St. James' soccer staff. |
I hear they might include training in other parts of the facility as part of the soccer program. Like futsal one day, speed/agility/strength training another day, in addition to soccer. Might be worth it if you can afford it and want to spend 5 days a week at the gym or yoga while the kids are playing

| SYC is also putting advertisements out there looking for coaches. Stop. |
| Well said! And it will also continue to be a tough few months or more for SYC as they are still losing players left and right ...even mid season. |
|
Anyone Plan on attending the SYC Townhall? This is the agenda
AGENDA TD Philosophy Short term and long term goals Leagues Travel Coaches Information Managers information Upcoming dates will be announced (Info on Travel Expo, coaching slate, tryout registration, tryout dates) SYC is closer to us but we go elsewhere because of the disorganization we were told about in the past. Just overall curious if its worth reconsidering them. Also wonder which league they will end up in next year. |
"Lots of technical development and possession" Something about helping every kid enjoy the game and development Ncsl although you'll be promised DA and CCL Coaches from LMVSC coming to take over teams, Syc coaches will be moving on, we want all players back Tryouts will be way too early in an effort to make sure we can get as many from outside the club Social media is awesome, follow us there, it's my main responsibility as a TD Saved everyone an hour of their life |
Possession - not known for that. |
Lol. That is pure gold. |
Lol. I posted the question. Response noted. |
| Has this discussion run its course? Any info on CCL? |
| Town Hall is on 4/2 and 'Leagues' is listed on the agenda, so probably no real update until after the meeting. |
Announcement came out from CCL. SYC is has been voted in to all CCL levels of competition, however they won't start in CCL1 until the fall of 2020. https://clubchampionsleague.com/2019/03/28/syc-is-back-all-in-for-fall-2020/ |
| Interesting. With potentially 3 young kids in soccer, I might consider SYC now for the convenience of CCL. We are in Lorton and our options now are only NCSL teams (Frederick, WV, and Fredricksburg are silly to drive to for U9-10s). |
Outstanding, SYC is now the destination club in NoVA!!! |
