I find it hilarious that people are criticizing the new LMVSC TD given his resume, track record & the fact he has not started. And, I also think it is hilarious that people are criticizing LMVSC teams given they have many more successful teams than SYC at the moment. It is also sad that Este is being criticized when he just arrived. Yes, he has a lot of work to do with SYC but, he just arrived and there is potential. Realistically, it will take a couple of years and that is if he can find a competitive league. NCSL is fine for 2nd and 3rd teams but, the reality is that you will not keep top players around by playing in NCSL. Just a fact.

Would make sense, VDA is always trying to get field space in Fairfax county. Not usually a good deal for those clubs as they take a half field minimum for each practice, pushing non-da teams into even tighter spaces.

This is pretty funny to say the least!! Doesn't US Soccer require the coaching staff in the DA to have a minimum of a "B" license? If this is true, Pepe does not meet the criteria and is not qualified to be a head coach in the DA. I'm sure if you educated folk did a bit of digging, you may also find that Pepe has a tendency of getting thrown out of games for inappropriate behavior directed toward referees and opposing coaches. If Pepe is leaving LMVSC, hopefully his future employer can offer better guidance for him (Coaching Code of Conduct) than what his younger brother Este was able to provide. He may be a decent coach but his frequent outbursts may keep from landing the top jobs in youth soccer.

Wonder if getting kicked out of NPL(if it is true) was the nail in the coffin for Lee...I can understand why NPL would be pissed to be used as a stepping stone.

I heard that Lee went to Alexandria and Vincent is going to Vienna or McClean. I don't know who the other coaches were. SYC has a lot of work to do in order to climb out of the soccer gutter. Good luck to everyone involved in the rebuilding, they will definitely need it. Lastly, for those of you that don't think SYC needed the change please post the number of your drug dealer.

Coach Pepe is well respected among players, parents and the soccer community! He has issues with ONE specific referee but a lot of other teams have issues with that same referee. Ya, Pepe's about average on the sidelines--has some things to say, but nothing unusual. During games, his assistant coaches are typically more animated.
