It’s easy to see why MM doesn’t have many friends. Look at how everyone on this thread is ripping her apart and they’ve never even met the lady.

MM had done well for herself. She grew up in relatively humble beginnings to end up marrying into the royal family. There are going to be a lot of haters. Women who are strivers are especially judged.

I am far from MM's biggest fan. But seriously ... come on.

MM is not responsible for her insane sister, her toxic father, or whatever the heck happened in her parents' marriage. She's also not responsible for what went on with her living arrangements as a child, or her mother's life, or her insane Markle relatives.

MM would not have made it in Hollywood without being somewhat egotistical and ruthless. We can debate the level of her success, but most actors don't have a regular role on a cable sitcom.

(She did have at least one college friend papped at her wedding. Her name is Genevieve Hillis. She sat behind Doria.)

The jail rumor is regarding embezzlement or some other financial issue. Rumor is out there because Tom Markle said that he had sole custody of Meghan from the time she was 11 until college and that Doria was not in the picture at all. Doria did have documented bankruptcy and financial challenges, but there is no evidence of jail time. This rumor has made its way into blinds. I doubt she could get a job as a social worker if she had a criminal record.
