The jail rumor is regarding embezzlement or some other financial issue.  Rumor is out there because Tom Markle said that he had sole custody of Meghan from the time she was 11 until college and that Doria was not in the picture at all.   Doria did have documented bankruptcy and financial challenges, but there is no evidence of jail time.  This rumor has made its way into blinds.  I doubt she could get a job as a social worker if she had a criminal record.  [/quote]
