I have never heard of the podcast but googled him out of curiosity. He is smokin HOT!

Bahaha I love that podcast and I also googled when I saw this. Chuck and Josh both do NOT look how I would expect, but are very good looking! I won't spoil Josh for you, but Chuck is kinda big guy with a giant beard... I pictured a skinny, crunchy hipster lol

After seeing professionals - and a long healing process did it get better for myself.

Now I feel my spouse is the enemy and not an ally or friend. I can't ever trust them for essentially leaving me out there to hang myself. I wouldn't have done the same thing. While I sat downstairs, cried and drank myself to sleep a lot - sometimes multiple days in a row - they were upstairs on their tablet or watching shows or laughing with friends on the phone.

Can't leave though - too many financial obligations.

Sounds to me like you abandoned your spouse, not the other way around.

Sounds like you need help, did you push him/her away when they offered help, assuming they did because even the worst spouse I would imagine trying to help? Or did you blame him? If there is no trust don't stay. You will never get better that way. Money shouldn't be a factor, friends will help you.

I did the same. I still feel no guilt about taking her husband.

You are awful. I hope karma comes back and kicks you right in the teeth.

^^ Do we have a whining betrayed spouse here? ^^

No, marriage 18 years and good. But I have seen the carnage of affairs. Friend committed suicide over it. And damage to kids is awful. I have zero tolerance for home wreckers, and the ones who gloat or are proud are despicable

Do you consider a low/zero libido spouse to be a home wrecker?
This creates alot of carnage, damage to kids, etc, resulting in alot of affairs.

Is this related to the "travel sports affair" thread.

I'm not defending the adulterer, per se. But, perhaps your friend was really hard to live with. Infidelity sucks, but committing suicide is not a typical reaction. He/she probably had preexisting issues from childhood and/or a mood disorder. I know people who have committed suicide. None of them who were triggered by a life event were "normal"/healthy, resilient prior to the event. Just sayin'.

About ten years ago and, after having been faithful our entire marriage, we had a big construction project underway at our home one summer. There was a young carpenter working late one day who came up behind me and slid his hand into my pants pocket. I was stunned but just blushed and said no thanks. But i couldn't stop thinking about how turned on I was. A few days later he was working late again and I took him up on his offer. The sex was amazing (I guess first time sex often is) but afterwards I was WTF was I thinking. I haven't done it again. Ever since I've worked hard to make sex with my DH memorable so there would be no sexual reason to stray.

Don't feel guilty PPs. Jesus was also a carpenter.

I seriously just screamed with laughter at my desk and 2 people ran in here to see what was happening. I told them I was coughing loudly due to all the pollen. Not sure they believed me?

I'm the PP who posted the joke. I have a great sense of humor, and still can't get laid.

Are you fat?

No. Tall (6'4"), good shape, PhD, etc. But I am old (51).

I only posted the fat thing because women get that all the time. 51 and 6'4" is sexy in my book. PLUS a PhD??! Swoon.

My confession: I haven't been with a woman other than ex-DW in over 25 years. Sort of terrified.

No one cares. I didn't make vows to his wife. Anyway she should thank me. I kept other women away from our man.
