I haven't spent a ton of time examining the porn industry, but I do not think that's what men are looking at when they are looking at porn. At least not if my husband's browser history is anything to go by. And Sofia Vergara is the highest paid woman on TV. Not skinny, not a youngster. |
| ? I don't know. I'm thin and I got pregnant twice when we weren't trying and twice the first month we were trying. So. Being overweight makes pregnancy more dangerous. I guess we all have our stories. |
This is the correct answer. |

I am 36 year old mother of 2. I'm 5'2" and weigh 103 lbs. Sometimes even a 00 is too big for me. I run 5 or 6 miles most days. I eat natural foods and I NEVER drink my calories (I think its a waste of calories). My mom is thin, my grandma is thin... Being thin is definitely a combination of genetics and exercise. People often tell me I have the "perfect body". However, I have horrible acne scars and struggle with depression (which is why I run so much). So my life is definitely not perfect. I think people often believe that their life will somehow be perfect if they are model thin. It won't.
And as for my boobs, I wear a 32D and my boobs are very small, flat and saggy. I 32D is much much smaller than a 36D. I wear a great bra and so I look great with clothes on, however without clothes its another story. |
| Very telling that this thread got so long. It seems being thin still trumps everything else. Ugh. |
not true - i'm thin and in decent shape and do not consider yogurt with fruit a dessert. i consider ice cream, cookies, cake, pie, etc dessert. i know it's not healthy, but everything in moderation right? i don't think it's healthy to think too much about what you eat. |
Reading this thread has made me feel like sh*t.

I really hate to post this but this thread was on my mind while I was in Target today and why on earth did I start to notice if the thin women I saw had a nice vs not so nice face.
Most of the not so nice faces were in fact, thin and some maybe a little too thin but nonetheless, I believe the posters here who say men like skinny women, beautiful or not. Some had kids with them or who I assumed were their husbands. |

Crazy how quickly this thread got so long. Guess we are all obsessed about our weight.
I am 5"5, 110 right now at 34 with 2 young kids and I am not naturally thin. Have very small frame but naturally a soft chubby body with a Natural belly and no muscle tone. Was a slightly chubby teen. I love love love being thin and toned. I feel energized and happier when I am. To achieve that the plan is pretty simple : heathy low carb with good fats and lots of veggie (mark daily apple/primal blueprint), no full stomach ever, recondition to eat smaller portions, no breakfast, no food between meals. Treats are dark chocolate, red wine and fruits. Add to that : 8hrs of sleep (I need carbs if I don't sleep well), Pilates 2-3 times a week, and weight lifting 2 times a week. No cardio beyond walking a lot as commute. Sounds like hell ? When you get rid of the sweet/carb tooth things become easy (er) and hunger is not raging. But it requires a lot of discipline and I regularly (every year or so) have 2-3 months when I fall behind |
To the PPs - what intense sports do you do? Looking for some suggestions here. Thanks! |
Actually, other than her breasts and butt, she's very thin and svelte. |

It's easy to say that the weight issue is genes. Most of us are too heavy because we eat too much and don't exercise enough.
Those lucky women you resent eat well and literally work their asses off. |
Uh... What!? |
I can't believe the sheer number of bitter fat women posting here. Damn, you are pathetic. |
I'm the first PP. I do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's definitely not for everyone--close contact with sweaty, usually smelly guys (and ladies) puts a lot of people off the sport, as does the fact that it's a really difficult sport. But, it's ridiculously good cardio and sparring against a resisting partner will tone your core and just about everything else like few other sports. |
