Potomac parents are SO ANNOYING

BCC parent here. I stumbled on this thread and honestly can't figure out what's going on.

FWIW, I drive through McLean and am very impressed by the super fancy homes.

I personally know only one Potomac family but my God they are insufferable. The mom is a teacher/pseudo-adminstrator (I am sure she exaggerates her position) but the way she speaks is as though she is the most powerful, well-connected person in Virginia and her kids are the most advanced, brilliant geniuses who are also the post popular kids at school.

All NOVA parents are annoying. I've never seen a more prestige chasing group of affluent people outside of NYC. The Potomac parents are insufferable because their kids got into Potomac and the other Nova parents are insufferable because their kids didn't.

Nobody outside of McLean cares about Potomac. But the stay at home trophy wives of McLean care very much.

🤣 clearly you haven't been around here very much if after a month, you pull this thread up to drop that take. I'm not OP and I feel no jealousy for Potomac parents or interest in applying, but man they are like little gnats of annoyance around her. Just read through the thread and see the Potomac parent responses... no other school could get this many pages on the parents being annoying. A portion of these parents definitely are...

I have many friends with kids at Holton, Landon, Prep, Gonzaga, Sidwell, STA, GDS, etc. and literally never seen an adult wearing any form of clothing for one of those schools.

So long way of asking .... what is wrong with these parents? Do they have nothing better going on in their lives? It has certainly turned me off from ever applying my kids.

If you scroll through, you will find 21 pages of explanation as to why people are annoyed with Potomac parents... if you can't do any self reflection with that, I'm afraid no further explanation is going to help you.
