Potomac parents are SO ANNOYING

Maybe the school gives out hats and clothing free and maybe it’s comfortable. My son plays basketball and I bought a school hat that I usually wear to his games. I don’t wear anything else but if I had it and it were comfortable I would wear it.

Potomac is one of the better schools in McLean. Lots of local McLean folks send their kids there. The same is true for SSSAS - one of the better schools in Alexandria. It's all good!

They are all the same.

You must be the same Potomac hater from the SSAS thread. You really do need to get a life. I’m sorry your kids weren’t accepted.

OP must be a troll if they know Gonzaga parents who don’t own any purple swag!

Uhhhh they didn't sound like they were hating on Potomac at all...

I don’t have kids at Potomac. I have kids at two other private and do wear some spirit wear for their schools, particularly when attending an athletic event. And I went to a private and my kids have spirit wear from my school. It’s not a big deal.

I don't really think it is the clothes, I think it is the energy and OP was trying to describe and struggling to... cause yea, most schools (even public) have SWAG they wear...

Dang! The way you turned on someone supporting you must have OP feeling really validated when they open this thread... How dare someone say another school is a good school in the same comment 😬

Another Gonzaga mom - I was going to say the same thing.

Lol my husband and I were taking a walk on Friday afternoon and the Maret school bus passed (it was our number 2 choice and DC just got into our number 1 to start in the fall) and he said "you know, I know it isn't a reason to choose a school, but I really like their green and would have really been excited to wear their merch" and I just started laughing because I think the same thing! They truly have beautiful colors and I would have worn their stuff too much 🤣

Potomac is kind of like
Congressional cc was 30 years ago.

This! Was at a baseball game this weekend and all of the Gonzaga parents were decked out in purple. God is purple, don’t you know?

Mean take, but here goes nothing: I feel like if you are willing to live in NOVA, acceptance to the one decent private there is probably the biggest social signifier you have, and thus more important to flaunt.
