Kate Middleton's New Hair

Her hair is still this ashy blonde color in Sudbury. I am so confused why it looks wildly different in different angles

I also imagine that most people couldn't care less whether she wears wigs, wiglets, or extensions--many women do, especially celebrities, but also women we work and socialize with. In fact, only KP seems to care, and that's because they're hell-bent on denying she wears hairpieces, for whatever bizarre reason.

The massive curls are so childlike, though, that they seem to telegraph, "I see myself as a powerless little girl." Something just below shoulder-length is flattering on older faces, and projects an image of a confident, 40-something woman.

Plenty of women over 40 wear long hair in a way that still looks good, it’s just that everything is working against Kate with this hair. I agree that the doll like curls and huge volume adds to a fake aesthetic.

It looks like wig pieces to add volume

Is she just wearing different wigs to troll people?

Yeah, it looks better than it did earlier in the week.

I love the idea that she’s literally laughing behind the scenes and just changing it daily! A princess has to have fun where she can!

I think the chances that she planned to have people talking about a bad wig and not sharing an umbrella with children is infinitely small. Showcasing huge missteps the same week that Harry visits the UK was definitely not planned.

That's probably the last thing on the mind of a cancer patient.

Again, she told us she was "cancer-free" in that soft-focus video a year ago; in the same video from a year ago, she told us she was done with chemo; she told us she was "in remission" in January; and one time William called it pre-cancer. She also said to those chemo patients that she never lost her hair. Instead of making up excuses, maybe listen to what she says?

Also, since January she's gone skiing twice and she's sunned herself in Mustique and the Aegean (sun is a definite no-no for cancer/chemo patients). She seems pretty healthy?

Agree. Possibly, she hoped to upstage Harry with this new color, knowing that she had more engagements ahead during his visit, and that she'd be papped a lot--but she lacked the self-awareness to realize how bad this wig is. Or maybe she just wanted a change. Who knows.

I'd actually enjoy watching her have fun with her hairpieces. Show up as a redhead one day! But this look is not that; it's the same cringey doll look on steroids.

In remission does not mean she is not a patient.

Oh really? I went through 6 months of chemo, half of that during the summer, and no one told me not to go in the sun - in fact it felt great getting sunshine and chilling in the pool.

I love all of the “experts” on this thread …

Definition of remission:
Remission is a state where cancer is no longer detectable or is significantly reduced in size and activity. It does not necessarily mean that the cancer is cured, but it indicates that the treatment is currently effective in controlling the cancer.

^they call it No Evidence of Disease now. It’s possible that medication, etc causes her hair to thin, which would explain extensions, or whatever she’s doing.

She has made clear that despite being in remission, she is still feeling the impact if all that she’s been though and has good days and bad days.
