Same. |
| I am in Loudoun but scanning through this with a lot of interest and dread a system like this will come out here next. Is it now at every Fairfax HS? Middle schools too? What about after school and evening programs and events? |
I looked for it and didn’t see but maybe I looked wrong place - anyone still seeing the line photo |
I'm sure they deleted it. |
Maybe they did. I saw at least 3 different photos earlier. |
There were 3 and now just one. I think they were all Fairfax HS. Someone should have called the news. |
| I don't know why this is an issue. We are forgoing a few minutes of inconvenience for the safety of children. |
In most schools, there is no safety issue. But there is an issue if they miss 30-60 minutes of instruction. Parents weren't asked if they wanted or thought their schools needed this. I'm sorry your school has a gun/knife problem. |
Wasn't this just West Potomac? |
West Potomac started this mess. |
Maybe Robinson. |
Very safe to have thousands of kids standing outside in a concentrated area for one hour every morning. Fcps can't do math. Calculating the number of students vs number of minutes needed per student to get through the metal detectors in less than 30 minutes, to calculate how many metal detectors were needed per school is a basic math problem that any of our pre Algebra 6th graders could have figured out for Gatehouse. |
| Someone needs to call Fox News and report this mess. |
"we"? You aren't standing in line for hours outside, getting up even earlier, or missing half the instruction in class 1. |
You don't know? Why don't you go to the high schools in the morning at the opening time to see and to talk to students and teachers? |
