That they already know what treatment to provide, means he has been getting tested.

Pffft. It means he got a same-day biopsy because he was previously a President.
Same day biopsy doesn't tell you what treatment to provide. They need testing across time, to see the changes.

And the bone mets require other scans.

The nodule was announced Monday, he learned the cell type Friday. That is very possible.

Here is Zeke Emmanuel. He is also an oncologist, so he knows what he is talking about.
So, he is saying he has had this cancer for years - probably at least at the start of his presidency. So, either the doctors totally missed this, or Biden, et al, have kept this a secret from the public.

Irresponsible and unprofessional. He has not treated Biden.

Jesus. You are acting like this is a rare and not well understood cancer.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men over 80 years old. They know how it behaves and can speak intelligently on how many years it would take mets. Which is YEARS not months.

Having it and knowing you have it are two different things.

Yes, to know you have it would require occasional medical checkups. And where the hell was a poor servant of the people like Joe supposed to get the money to pay for regular checkups?

Real oncologists disagree with the self-proclaimed experts here saying they HAD to know.

Now pay attention to the real threats happening right now like foreign crypto bribes, dismantling consumer protections, defunding medical research, the government disappearing people, decreased air traffic safety, and a bill full of more ways for Trump and this administration to violate the constitution without accountability.

So true!

MAGA here - I hope he recovers fully and continues on the speaking circuit for many years continues to do fundraising and endorsements (for his usual kickback) for all the Dem candidates in 2026 and 2028.

From American Cancer Society

“Because prostate cancer often grows slowly, men without symptoms of prostate cancer who have less than a 10-year life expectancy should not be offered prostate cancer screening, because they aren’t likely to benefit from it. Overall health status, and not age alone, is important when making decisions about screening.”

They don’t test after 70 and Medicare doesn’t pay for it. Most will not pay for the rest for themselves.

+1 That would be correct.

Maybe, probably most certainly, I was being naïve, but I thought presidents had top notch, cutting edge medical testing, and health checks. Like full body scan type of checks every year, but I’m now learning they’re not checked thoroughly?

I'm not saying he did anything wrong. Just suggesting that if you look at A+ B in a manner of speaking, C is the logical result. He would have most def been tested and likely caught earlier but people would have freaked and no way he could have run 2nd campaign. I don't know it's his motivation however / it could well be he didn't want to face reality or even he was so busy and focused he didn't want to time it to impact his work. In any case? I believe he has known and is at peace on some level.

He's lived quite a full life and done a lot he's wanted to do which is all anyone can ask for from life. If it were me I wouldn't want to try to squeeze treatment - I would want enjoy the time left and be grateful for the many friends and family offering joy and comfort to me.

I hope he finds peace. I think he was a misguided person who had too much ego and made a lot of mistakes politically throughout his career incl running a second time. But u also think as a man, as a father and husband and as a human being, he did the best he could and tried to do what he thought was right. Life is messy. Nobody is perfect and he prob doesn't feel the peace as he wanted to feel but I hope he will have grace. I think he does deserve it after everything he's given.

Can’t you say exactly the same of Trump now?

Metastatic and in the bones. That doesn't happen quickly.

You know nothing. I have/had a dear friend who had regular mammograms and breast cancer never detected. She was diagnosed for the first time with stage four breast cancer that had moved to her back and bones. She fought bravely for a year and then was led to rest. That was ten years ago. Last year, another friend was officially diagnosed with tumors on the brain. For several months some of us suspected something was wrong before she finally went to the doctor. She did not survive the surgery, so you are wrong PP.

PP here. I'm truly sorry about your friends. It hurts. I've lost three longtime friends to breast cancer and one to pancreatic cancer. My husband had colon cancer, and I have metastatic breast cancer. Although situations and cancer paths vary,I do have understanding of the process

No. No you can’t. Trump walks normally, takes questions on the fly and disclosed his medical records. You may think his politics stink and he is definitely overweight but there is simply no comparison. Sorry but no.

None of those things are true of Trump.

Are you watching interviews from the early 2000’s or something?

They won’t even release transcripts half of the time because he’s blathering on about some gibberish and he can barely hold himself upright.

Its one thing to lie, it’s another to lie so blatantly that’s it’s insulting.

And now some high up in DOJ suggests that Jill Biden be charged with elder abuse for covering up his illness and supporting his re-election. Anyone with a law degree would laugh at how weak that argument would be. Regardless, what a classy administration we elected. How come none of them are concerned about Trumps BS medical and psychological health claims???

Does anybody of either party seriously believe that Biden's cancer only became known to Biden himself and his doctors within the last few days?

Walking normally right into a wall. Thanks to the Speaker of the House who redirected him, he did not.

He has not been president for 4 months. He is not obligated to tell us immediately.
