If there's grounds, there's probably someone willing to take this on.

I personally have no interest in suing FCPS--that's like shooting your own taxpaying foot IMO. But others may differ.

And a real lawyer will gladly take your money. But no lawyer will take this on a contingency because it’s a loser.

We'll see--I could see a lawyer willing to figure out ways to advocate and represent for 35,000 often affluent families in Fairfax just for the general good will and reputation.

What are the odds that one of the parents is a lawyer willing to do it?

I read the article on the failed FCPS criminal case. Maybe parents should contact the firm who represented FCPS (unsuccessfully) and see their take on parents' standing?
Hunton Andrews/lawyer Ryan Bates They have the most information already even if their own case wasn't successful.

No she won’t. The Goldwater Institute is paying the legal fees.

None. She didn’t violate any laws.

I think it will be harder for the Goldwater Institute's image to step in with their high profile pro-bono support if it's 35000 parents suing.

Hmmm, 35000 families in Fairfax. What are the odds 1000 of them are lawyers?

Well then fine. The publicity will be great--parents against them rather than the big bad government.

How many times have you posted your short, defensive replies with no facts or reasoning on this thread? And are you Callie or her bestie?

How do you dox someone who is already public? She posts everything under her own name. We know who she is.

Doxxing includes posting someone’s address/phone number. She’s ok with someone on DCUM post that info?

You mean posting here publicly available information? Still not doxxing, everyone knows her name and can google.

Probably a good way to get yourself banned from this site tho.

Yes, even if it’s publicly available.

Post it. See what happens.

Don't really mind draining their coffers either--and making it harder to argue that they are just in it for the poor moms.

How many times have you been posting trying to encourage people here to sue when there is zero laws making what Callie did is illegal?

I won’t because doxxing is bad.

I’d lose my mind if I worked there. What a waste of taxpayer dollars answering request and request.

This is my issue.

FOIA laws are good laws. I believe in governmental transparency. I don't believe in FOIA abuse and fishing expeditions, which is what's been going on here. And I certainly don't believe in it when it targets my child.

Agreed. I strongly believe in foia but this is someone clearly abusing fcps employees for fun, wasting tax payer dollars and being a public nuisance.

How much has she paid in foia fees? I don’t know the county’s (state?) foia laws well enough but I know the federal ones.

I do hope someone doxes her. Where are groups like Anonymous when you need them?

Her info is all public and googleable. Callie Oettinger is not a fake name. You can’t dox someone you can easily google.
